OOC ANNOUNCEMENT

It's 9:15 AM Pacific time, everyone! And I have a few things on my to do list! Today, I have a modeling gig, so I won't be home until late. I'll be lurking on mobile though. Luckily for me, it's almost the weekend! So I'll finally have some time to work on my 25+ drafts. Loneliness. Pronounced ˈlōnlēnis. Noun. Definition: sadness because one has no friends or company. Examples: "feelings of depression and loneliness" or "the loneliness of a sailor's life".  After Toue disappeared, Clear wondered if perhaps that was what he was feeling. He visited Master often, but his master was often busy with his lover or work. And, well... Everyone else disappeared or didn't talk to him. He wanted something human, something family like that he could call his own. He asked around for answers, and the answer he found was Rib. Mizuki liked Rib, Koujaku liked Rib, and Rib involved  alot of people... so it had to be a good thing!

An that was how he made it here, knocking on a door no one, especially not Koujaku, would ever expect him knocking.

"Koujaku-san! It's me! Clear! Um... I'd like to join Benishigure, please!"

Scratch had plenty to do: they’d moved in on parts of yakuza protection rackets as Toue’s artificial command of the local syndicate decayed after Oval Tower fell. It was a good move for the bunch of former criminals, despite their mixed backgrounds. Only some of them had been actual criminals before being thrown in prison. The rest were something like political prisoners or convenient lab rats. 

To that end, their Rib battles had changed focus, as did the shape of their territory. They were employed as ‘security guards’ for new construction projects in the North District, but also as hired muscle for show in Black Valley. They added to the ambiance, apparently. 

Mink got up, his Coil minimizing his screens as he began to move. His face froze as he saw Clear’s, his blue-green eyes narrowing as he processed what Clear now looked like. 

"I don’t need friends, Gas Mask," he said, twisting the word ‘friends’ derisively. "I need subordinates, people that will follow me without question until the job is done."

Completely misinterpreting Mink's point, he jumped up for joy. Friends were supposed to follow and support one another without question. So Mink must have just wanted a very special kind of friend, a kind of friend he was more than willing to be. "I'll be your subordinate, Mink-san! I'm very good at doing things to my fullest ability!" he cheered, pumping his fists in the air enthusiastically.

Master would be so happy to hear that he had gotten another member onto the "Reverse Toue's Bad Deeds" Squad! Not that Mink didn't have his own plans for that already, but hey, at least he could now call it a joint effort.

The naive, little robot scampered into Mink's personal space bubble, looking up at him like an expectant puppy. "If I become your number one subordinate, you'll join us, right?"

Really? That’s pretty awesome. ^^ I was too afraid I’d never do Clear justice, so I stuck with the samurai dork. And yes~ Koukuri sounds perfect, I’ve missed rp’ing with you.
