A desperate cleric slamming every healing spell so hard to bring someone back to life the ground is forced to grow plants and flowers around the body.
Decades later, guarded by a forest of roses and thorns, lies a corpse refusing to rot.

fave part of plant systematics exams are the questions where im given a page long situation describing plants in a made up genus and a phylogenetic tree and am asked who the mom and dad of a strange plant are, specifically
the practice exam for the final be like ‘who is likely the pollen donor? who is likely the egg donor?’ and i gotta flip back through like ‘ok which of you went ham on the edge of a hypothetical forest in massachusetts’ and i get graded for it. assessed on plant-specific dr phil abilities
I [2n=14 chromosome pollen donor] had sex with another species [2n=16 chromosome egg donor] next to a pond in michigan but instead of the offspring spontaneously aborting at 2n=15 it doubled into a fertile 2n=30 polyploid and it clearly shares the same ecological niche?????? how can i compete with the allure of it’s doubled number of petals and more vigorous growth rate (ADVICE WANTED)
