Thomas & Cleo
âYa did a good job today. If Iâm not careful, Iâll be the one caught unaware soon,â Thomas praised the man, agreeing to pick up again next week. He had a few minutes before his next appointment and headed over to the vending machine to get a couple of water bottles. He downed one of them, and was starting the second when he was interrupted by a tug on his arm. A woman that barely reached his shoulders pulled him away from the vending machines to a quiet spot near the main room and started in on how sheâd been watching him and she noticed things that reminded her of herself. Through most of it, Thomas was doing his best to keep up with what she was saying, becoming increasingly more concerned about her as she kept on talking. It took a few seconds after she stopped speaking for it to dawn on him why she was acting the way she was.
His voice a whisper, more due to shock than anything, he asked, âWhat kind of fuckinâ right do ya think ya âave ta pull me aside like a child and ask me a question like that? What business is it of yours, anyway? Iâm sorry ta âear ya âad bad experiences before, but ya canât just assume that weâll bond or some shit now. My life is my business and no one elseâs.â Thomas turned away from Cleo, but his defenses were well and truly up and he turned back to her, a question quick on his lips. ââow do ya even know about it? Itâs not known enough ta be a rumor, so âow the fuck do you know?â
Cleo stepped back quickly when he reacted. Sheâd grown ever-so much stronger in confidence during the recent months, but men still scared her, especially when they appeared angry. The girl bit down on her lip and let her eyes slide around as she tried to think of a response to calm his anger. âNobody knows the details of mine either. Nobody knows the full story,â she spoke out in a calm tone. âItâs too difficult to even begin to say out loud. But that doesnât mean it helps to keep it to myself. It makes my head feel crazy. Every day and sometimes I just need somebody who understands.â Her shoulders shrugged slowly.Â
She fell quiet, almost starting to give up. Until he spoke again that was. âSTOP swearing at me NOW!â she shouted back. Though she felt awkward immediately afterwards and nervously locked eyes on him. After a few breaths, she spoke again. âI know because Iâm smart and Iâm intuitive. Everybody else in the world may be perfectly oblivious, but I see things...Things that nobody else ever bothers to see.â Cleo rolled her tongue around in her mouth. âAlso you just admitted it.â Her eyes stared so deeply up at his; trying to see something below his clear anger. âYou might not want to right now...but you can talk to me. You can trust me. Iâm not like everybody else in this town. I donât fit in and I never will because Iâm just not dramatic enough. Iâm not harsh enough... I care too much about people who should mean nothing to me.â Her shoulders shrugged again. âI just thought I could help you out. But maybe I was wrong.â
"I'll be there for you."
âI know. And thatâs the problem, Elsa. Itâs my turn to be there for you!â

"I'm not happy, but I hope you're happy."
"Why arenât you happy?â
@bennielector
Alex stared at the other person, her fear starting to swell. âSummer fell. I donât know why they opened it up as a murder investigationâŠThereâs no â no murderers.â
âSounds like you two were close. Are you okay?â
âItâs not spooky at all!â
âWeâre in the wood... Itâs a little bit creepy, at least.â
"Lyrics I've taken from songs on shuffle" starter sentences
"I'll be there for you."
"There's no hope, that's what we're told."
"God ain't on your side."
"So, take the photographs and still-frames in your mind."
"I'm not happy, but I hope you're happy."
"Everybody feels the same."
"I'll raise you like a phoenix."
"There's no you and me, this impossible year."
"Kill that mob!"
"I'm a book half unread."
"Ever since I found you, I wanna be around you."
"Communication breakdown all around."
"Well, death to the girl at the end of serenade."
"Share one more drink with me?"
"No matter how many times we search, the answer is the same."
"Here comes the rain again, falling from the stars."
"Wonât you smile for me anymore?"
"I swear the happiest day of my life is the day that I die."
"It's time to get up and let go!"
"I just wanna live."
"Those days when I got swept away by other people, Iâll say goodbye to that me."
"Just like me, they long to be close to you."
"I think my momâs an alien."
"See how the sun shines brightly in the city?"
"I am an arms dealer, fitting you with weapons in the form of words."
"It's empty and cold without you here."
"I don't give a shit about the modern age."
"I haven't drank or smoked nothin' in over 22 days!"
"If you wanna start a fight, you better throw the first punch - make it a good one."
"I change the channels for an hour or two..."
"I can't express it all in words."
"But now I'm strong enough to know it's not too late."
"Heads or tails; you decide."
"Don't say a word, I know you feel the same."
"Run and tell the angels that everything's alright."
"You'll find out that this world is just an idiot's parade."
"Why do you always act in such a passive way?"
"Lesson learned for me and you."
"I know you have to go."
"Ain't this uniform so flattering?"
"Take it slow."
"Too many war wounds and not enough wars."
"I wanna be the minority."
Thomas & Cleo
Cleo was nervous as she walked to the sports centre to find Thomas. She was mainly worried that sheâd come across as a stalker....which she was in a way, but all for the right reasons. When Cleo knew something was wrong with somebody her intuition and instincts would kick in and make her immediately want to help them. Of course, sheâd made sure she was along the right tracks first before talking to Thomas with completely the wrong theory. She felt as if he was going through something similar to herself; the thing that only Elsa knew half of, and Dean the other half. It wasnât something easy to speak about...but perhaps a little easier when the other person had experienced it too.
The short brunette walked up to him quickly. âUrm, can I have a word if youâre not busy?â she asked, thankfully noticing he was just going on a break. She took him over to a private area before she began to speak to avoid anybody hearing. âOkay....so, this is gonna sound a bit strange butt please hear with me,â Cleo told him before taking a long, deep breath. âOkay, here goes. I uh...there are a few signs Iâve been noticing with you. And I could be totally wrong, but they teach me these things on my course. And theyâre things that I can relate to and urm, I just wanted to check youâre okay because Iâd hate for you to feel how I do...â She closed her eyes suddenly to avoid seeing Thomasâ reaction. She was so quick with her words that theyâd probably come out in a twisted circle that made no sense. Cleo still had  lot to learn and her nerves around men werenât helping, thatâs why it was all about children usually. âHas somebody hurt you, Thomas? Like, really hurt you?â
âHave ya ever jusâ wanted to get away? Like⊠book a flight at the last minute anâ jet off for a bit? Even just for a couple oâ weeks? Jusâ for a changeâŠâ
âA romantic weekend away with you would really get my interest up, but I donât think I have time until the summer with all this uni work.â
âIâve got a job interview today. Thatâs why Iâm wearinâ the suit. If ya decide ya want ta stare, just donât. I feel uncomfortable enough as it is, I donât need any one makinâ it worse.â
âItâs just different seeing you in a suit and applying for another job? Oh, youâre my new personal trainer by the way. You probably donât remember me. I have a forgettable face. I asked for a female....but they gave me you. Actually, I donât think Iâve ever seen you away from some kind of training...it caught me off-guard. Sorry.â
âDid you touch my bum on purpose?â
âNope. But if you enjoyed it I could happily do it again.â
âSorry, but could you help me please?â
âI suppose I can. What do you need?â
âHm. Since when did you become so charming? Actually â  you always have been. As well as beautiful andâŠwell, amazing at kissing.â
âMaybe...just, maybe...Iâm only charming to you. Beautiful I cannot agree on and Iâve never kissed myself... Anyway, thatâs very much not the point. So can I kiss you now?â
âDo you really think that kissing me is going to help?âŠâ
âYouâre single...and youâre hot and I like kissing you. No! I really like kissing you. What could there possibly be to help?â
Immediately after her degree came to an end, Cleo got her dream of becoming a childrenâs counsellor. She started by going into childrenâs care homes and working with the children in there before getting a job as a child counsellor at the local hospital. Cleoâs done a lot of charity work, even flying to poor countries to lend a hand. She keeps herself busy so has lost touch with most of her old friends. Because sheâs been so busy sheâs never had chance to find âthe oneâ but she hopes she will do soon. Inspired by her work in the childrenâs home, Cleo adopted two girls called Lucy and Abigail who are now 7 and 9 years old. They act like a cross between her little sisters and her daughters. -
âOh no, Iâm still very much single,â Cleo answered the person who asked. âHow about you?â
