This is maybe going to be a less popular opinion than the last time I said something like this but "Gangle never forgives deabstracted apologetic transitioning Jax because you don't have to forgive your abuser just because they're sorry" is another one of those ideas that's great in isolation as an Aesop style thematic moral message and as a principle irl but as soon as you apply the actual diegetic situation of the Amazing Digital Circus and its characters to it becomes absolutely fucking horrifying and nightmarish as a concept.

Lowkey why are there always people standing by the stage when a new human joins? Can’t there be one time where someone joined while the rest were off on an adventure and just. Had the circus to themself until the others returned? I think that would be a very interesting piece of fiction.

Starting a new story is a perfect opportunity for me to reflect on my poor habits as a writer and potentially stop doing those quite so much going forward, like I could consider "Maybe my audience are tired of "Person from whom a secret is being kept is revealed to have been aware of the secret for a significant portion of the time it was being kept and is pretending they don't know for the drama"

It's an opportunity to do that, but not one I will be taking, because I love that shit so bad.

Sticking to my FunnyBunnyDoll guns about the interactions in episode 9 not in a "Your ship wars are annoying" kinda way but in a "I cannot see the interpretations in each of these scenes as anything other than indelibly intrinsically linked and I find the inferrable character impacts on all three participants far more interesting and heartbreaking in a diegesis where both pairings are true than anything one or the other could produce" kinda way.

The problem with writing a TADC fic series that started as tgirl Jax/SOMA theory propaganda and is now just a stage for me to lay out all my personal opinions about the series is all the people who'd be interested in those just read my fic now and don't ask me for my amazing digital opinions. Also I feel like I can't say what they are because since I put them in the fic I get the Repeating Myself Annoying Stop Talking shame.

Gasp! Shortly after the arrival of circus newcomer Niamh, the nefarious NPC-turned-supervillain-virus Evil Pomni has invaded the YMverse Free Circus to show off her latest dastardly creation: Evil Niamh Niamh-il!

Regular Niamh is initially just happy to be included having arrived too late to have been on the softball adventure (or indeed any adventure at all), but becomes less so after discovering that Niamh-il refers to her creator Evil Pomni as "Mum"- a thing Evil Pomni does not particularly care for but tolerates anyway because of how much it freaks out the inhabitants of the circus and Pomni and Niamh specifically.

Anyway I wanted to draw an evil big tops version of Whenyathima's Niamh, but this being a nonsense given it pertains to an adventure Niamh never went on I leapt on the opportunity to use #DrawEvilPomniDay to give her a silly justification.

Niamh-il is, as you can see, an animated flapper dress in inverse colours to Niamh, and I think it came out decently well, though I'd like to go back and render some light/fix what's wrong with EP's face when I have the time.
