#i’m not really sure what hurts me most about this scene… #the fact that lex willing steps up and takes the highly dangerous cure #–the exact same one that had been previously said would more than likely end up killing a normal human being– #simply because he can’t stand the thought of seeing clark go through the nearly leathel effects of the fear toxin all over again… #…or the fact that before lex takes the drug that may very well end up killing him… #he makes sure that the very last person he looks at before his eyes roll back into his head…is clark. #in my opinion…i believe they’re both equally as bad. (via @powerovernothing)

And on top of that, when the Kents later talk about what might have happened if someone at that lab had found out Clark’s secret, none of them acknowledge with a single word that Lex’s sacrifice saved Clark from that. Even though Lex must have known that he could have found out Clark’s secret - or at least gotten closer to finding out - if he’d let Clark test the cure. But, yeah, sure, the secret was the only thing that ever mattered to Lex. Smallville’s show vs. tell miss-match strikes again…
