The majority of the owner-writers of Cards Against Humanity wanted to put the n-word into the game. After their one black staff member, Nicolas Carter, asked Max Temkin, founder of Cards Against Humanity about the reasons behind each person saying ‘yes’ to doing so, and how it happened, Temkin told the head writers to fire him.

CAH head staff escalated things by contacting Carter’s family, threatening ‘disciplinary action’ and to fire Carter, then a staff member helped get Carter wrongly institutionalized, where he faced heavy racism.

I use this scene to explain implicit bias to people. his first instinct is to assume the aliens are violent and the girl is innocent, but instead of acting on those assumptions he takes time to recognize his bias, look at the situation again, and then act.

Y'all people really don’t get it: the point is to not consider being racist an insult. It’s factual that there are race biases ingrained into people’s minds and the first step to eradicate them is to accept it. Saying she’s being racist further proves that you didn’t understand a damn thing. Every white American is “racist”, as in they have been raised with racist concepts; black people have been raised with the same concepts, except they either refuse them or internalize it. As Bob said, white people don’t have an history of being killed and hanged and enslaved for being black. And they will NEVER understand that. While black people still have, to this day, to fear some parts of the USA for the forementioned motives.
