A Moment of Happiness

Light trickles through the closed shades dimly lighting the room. There is a fan softly pushing a gentle breeze through the room. My son peacefully napping in a small bed on one side of the room; my love asleep at my side. I snuggle myself up against her and rest my cheek on her warm body. I smile and hug her a bit tighter, because for this moment I am the perfect example of happiness.

Doomed to repeat it.

A recent edition to the journal of Cosmology states there is strong evidence that Mars was not only once lived on but, devastated by Nuclear explosions. Bringing me ever so closer to confirming, in my head at least, that the human race is a virus. Destroying planet after planet with our Greed and never ending quest for Power. Possibly answering the age old question, "Will we ever learn?" No, no we won't....

Sins of the Flesh

What is it that we are truly looking for in life? Some people are in constant search of what they believe to be love, some are in search of the next high, some drink, and some just stumble through life in search of what they know not. I think that we are in constant search of these different things because we all really want the same thing...to lose ourselves. Because when we finally come in contact with these things all else melts away. It’s like for those moments it all fades away...no troubles, no stress, no expectations, just THAT moment. Perhaps we are all in search of different sins because of something we could get if we just stopped for a moment. 

My theory is just this....we need to learn how to appreciate things again. Throughout our childhoods we learned to get what we want as fast as possible and enjoy that moment as quickly as possible because we were afraid it would disappear. We started to get all manner of things in highly concentrated doses that we stopped taking our time. We became soooo aware of the time, we knew that our life could be over at any moment so we started believing that it is best to LIVE FAST and DIE YOUNG. We need to slow the hell down and learn to appreciate every moment and every thing and person that is in it. We, as a people, need to learn how to slow down and reconnect with life in a very spiritual way.

What if...

What if when you died it wasn't about how many times you succeed but, it was about your failures and how many times you tried. What if it wasn't about the few dollars you gave to the homeless but, how many times you actually listened to them and helped in the ways they needed. What if what mattered after life wasn't the things that mattered in life at all?

We are many, we are one

Plants, animals, foods, weather, humans... Everything starts small, grows, gets old, and eventually...dies. Basically everything has the same life cycle. Everything has the want to thrive with life, yet everything is thought to be different. Is Unity such a bad idea? Is the thought that we are all made up of the same stuff such a bad thing? Why do we strive to name, categorize, sub-categorize, and section off EVERYTHING? Hell, some trees do more for the world than some humans...sad enough to say.
