So Here’s a fun little way to try and combat Burnout:
STEP 1: Pull up your favorite media-based drinking game (I’m using the A:TLA one; it encourages tea-drinking and this is my first watch of the series. I need a Secondary activity to keep me focused).
STEP 2: Consume said media.
STEP 3: Instead of taking a drink (or in addition to drink), donate a pre-set amount of money to the Black Lives Matter movement, bail funds, memorial funds, COVID-19 relief. It may be best to tally up how many donations you will be making and do the math/make the donations in between episodes
STEP 3.5: If you cannot donate, replace with sign a petition! (That is how I’m playing the game currently)
STEP 4: Invite your friends to play! Stream the media together on your platform of choice. (That way you can also have your friends double-check your math)
Notes:
To help the flow of the game,
set up your list of donation/petition links before playing.
There are several masterlists floating around made by users trying to provide the proper legitimate foundations, and I will be linking mine right here:

(if any of these need to be updated, please DM me so I can change them)
This link is also on that document, but here is a post made by @emerald-studies containing the masterlist of petitions (edited to include the most recently updated list as of 7/19/20, thank you emerald-studies) I’ve been using to do this activity on my own:
https://emerald-studies.tumblr.com/post/623688944379445248/please-sign-these-petitions-you-do-not-need-to
The reason I am ultimately making this post is because, as I go through this list, I am seeing less and less signatures on some of these petitions. Less names and numbers to support the same justice for equally important black lives, justice for black lgbt that just may not be getting the same amount of coverage as George Floyd. If signatures for his justice can be in the millions, we can do the same for everyone on this list.
At the end of the day, activism is beyond important right now. It’s a serious commitment, and we are advocating for justice toward irreplaceable and unjust losses. We’re dealing with heavy stuff that we’re probably not used to handling. So it’s important to weave in a little positivity where we can without glossing over the heaviness, because we are also advocating for a positive, long-overdue change. <3
