Drawing the wife as the Doctor for her birthday 😌

Drawing based off of Edward Steichen’s 1906 photo-etching The Brass Bowl

Went to an exhibition about witches in the neighbouring town to my middle of nowhere village and it had some genuinely incredible stuff which I’ve shared under the cut :)

In order:

- The Brass Bowl, Edward Steichen

- Les Sorcières Autour du Feu (the witches around the fire), Paul Ranson (girls having fun!)

- Je Suis Toujours la Grande Isis (I am always the great Isis), Odilon Redon

- Sorcière au Chat Noir (Witch with Black Cat), Paul Ranson

- The Heart of the Storm, Anne W Brigman (love of my life)

- The Love Potion, Evelyn de Morgan

- La Légende Bretonne (the Breton Myth), Edgar Maxence (my favourite painting there, it was huge)

#thank you Gauguin I may think you are a terrible person but you put my trou pommé on the art history map so i can see cool stuff near by #and for that I’ll forever be grateful #also the pictures were all taken by me at the exhibition except for the photographs there was too much glare #this is mostly for me so i can keep track of the pieces and artists I particularly liked :)#and as for my drawing yes i mayyy have exaggerated the blacks all the way and its actually quite faded irl but hey that’s just part of it #anyway #drawing #art

:) its a combination of digital, 3D, collage, and photography! The figure is my friend @clocktower-sparrow and then some quite extensive processing hehe. I don’t have a timelapse of the sculpting etc but can post one of the photo-editing bit if you like
