“Maybe someone up there actually eats it when it stops being round, who knows?”
{Perhaps,} was Mewtwo’s short response. They were well aware that the moon went through cyclic phases. They did, however, prefer Meowthtwo’s vision of how the moon operated. Her innocent, wide-eyed perception of the world never failed to make them smile, as he was doing now.
“You know, the moon is like another friend, don’t you think?”
{The moon is a friend, and so are the stars,} said Mewtwo.
Their voice suddenly grew soft as they murmured, mostly to themself, {Stars make sure a moon isn’t lonely…}
They abruptly addressed their companion: {Meowthtwo. Have you seen a strange-looking creature outside our mountain as of recent? One with a canine appearance and a split across its head?}
Stars make sure a moon isn’t lonely...huh. That was beautiful. It fitted for the whole clone situation too, didn’t it? They were different---and made sure that none of them were lonely. It was...nice. Meowthtwo liked it and it was noticeable on the smile when the smaller pokemon looked up to the sky again.
However, when Mewtwo asked the question, the clone looked back and tilted her head. Strange looking creature..canine appearance...
“I didn’t. It doesn’t sound so good. Are they alright?” Poor thing probably must be hurt if it had a split across their head. It worried the clone a little.
“...Do you want to find it?”
