Maybe that's my fate, to love so deeply it hurts, to spend my days remembering, someone who forgot me first.

Perhaps it's my own fault, for giving my whole heart, to people who leave and tear it apart.

Maybe my heart was born to be broken, to love too deeply, and never be chosen.

You asked me how long it'd take to get over you. You said, "maybe a week or two?" I laughed — you cannot get over someone you love with all your heart.

My breaking heart haunts me like a ghost, for some loves leave quietly, but never leave you.

It feels like the ocean has a hold of me, pulling me under — this weight of heartbreak, is drowning me slowly.

At the end of the day, you lost; 𝒎𝒆.

You walked away without a wound, leaving them all with me.

You broke me and left my heart in pieces, yet somehow; it still waits, hoping you'll come back.

I thought you were my one and only, turns out I was the one left lonely.

And today all I feel is heartbreak, where love once made me whole, I'm searching through the wreckage, for the pieces of my soul.

Heartbreak has taken away my will, my will to love and fight, I'm only half of who I was, a soul without its light.

Maybe that love, the love that blossoms like wildflowers, just isn't meant for me.

Love isn't meant to make you feel this unworthy.

One day you'll miss me, when the silence lingers on, but by the time your heart looks back, I'll already be gone.

And I am in fragments, pieces of who I once knew, my heart cannot beat with love, it broke the day it loved you.

I didn't just lose you, I lost myself loving you.
