it’s in the silence after he speaks that porsha realized how awkward she made things when she visibly let her emotions take over, her arms crossed over her chest for a moment as a war started in her mind, she was annoyed by what he had said, of course but it wasn’t his fault he had put his foot in it. he had no clue what she had been through and she couldn’t exactly place that blame on him. maybe her own personal experiences were weighing on her mind, and she just wanted to hit out anyone who pissed her off because she hadn’t dealt with them yet. a few moments passed when she finally thought about it and mulled it over, she turned to him, her lips tugging up into a friendlier smile. “… your hair is different, i mean, it looks nicer like that now you’ve had it cut, it really suits you, even makes your eyes stand out more. i actually never realized how brown they were until now.” wow, great porsha. something about his eyes, now the dude is gonna think you’re hitting on him. she felt like a pure idiot now. 

         he shouldn’t have ever tried, just keep his opinions and worries to himself. he was much better off working and not having friends, not caring about anyone. he knows there’s really no reason for him to shut off so quickly, he was getting into her business and he didn’t exactly have any room to pry but she seems like a nice girl. he pops a piece of gum into his mouth and goes back to working, not expecting her to start talking to him again. he turns his head at the compliment, he squints but there’s a small smile on his face even though he’s confused, he still appreciates it. it’s getting to be summer and he hadn’t cut his hair since running away, it was about time he got around to it. “uh---thanks, grew it myself.” he shakes his head, what a dumbass. “but---yours looks good too.”

while this blog loves to ship and explore dynamics of ongoing relationships, i am also interested in exploring past relationships ; relationships that have failed ; on-and-off again relationships ; relationships that are destined to end in a nasty breakup ; relationships that end in a mutual break up ; relationships that are strained because of cheating ; ect, ect. on top of not every relationship being perfect or healthy, not every relationship lasts ! not every relationship has a happy ending! some relationships are stepping stones. and some are ‘perfect’ over all, but not perfect right now for the people who are involved.  and that’s ok!  and i am completely open, and eager, to explore those types of dynamics that challenge my character, that add another layer to my character ( and yours ) in different ways !

fingers push through hair hair, letting it fall down her back in bouncing curls. she’s kept mostly to herself since moving, but she hears her new neighbor all the time, and it’s about time they actually spoke. she’d seen him around enough. and sure, she should probably wear something like jeans or shorts that are longer than the ones she has on. as it is, she’s in cheer shorts and a hoodie that barely brushes her belly button. 

and that’s how she’s going to knock on his door, head tipped to the side as she does. “hey, i know this is probably super inconvenient, but my air is broken. again. could you come maybe take a look at it before me or my cat die or heatstroke?”

         he had just finally got enough money to move out of the motel and into an apartment building, it was a big step for him and he was proud. he hadn’t really talked anyone yet, he mostly just keeps to himself because it’s easier. he’s noticed the girl running a lot from his kitchen window and she’s pretty damn hot. 

         he jumps at the knock, no one has ever came to his place before and he was scared as to what it meant. he opens it and blinks, looking at the girl he was just thinking about. he tries not to check her out but he does anyways, it was very quick. “oh uh---yeah, sure.” he grabbed his shoes and headed out the door. “i don’t really have much experience fixing these things but i can try.”
