Closegenic culture is labeling your blog as quoigenic for The Fear reasons but really also being closegenic. Also being partly praesigenic. Having that one or two people, one out-sys and one in-sys who I love talking about sys origins to and who accepts my theories about all of us, and then being the "not wanting to share our origins (and) thinks its the wrong question to ask" parts of quoigenic to everyone else. Being really, really, really terrified as an individual to tell anyone other than in-sys members and the one out-sys person about my source because Things Happened and I also identify with the traumedia label and another traumedia sys member formed partly because of things related to my own traumedia label. Having the source/origins aspect of me be another thing that connects me to my in-sys partner, that one in-sys person I talked about above. The whole concept of closegenic regarding both my theories about our origins and my own source being this whole connection between us, one out of many, that go so deep in the realms of love that we have together. The, no pun intended, closeness we have together. The part about praesigenic is odd because I'm just. Scared. Of everyone and everything, but one specific person makes it skyrocket even if they know some of our and my sources and origins. I sure don't want my source known just because I know how the fandom is. It's just.... when being closegenic is great and all for the closeness that me and [Her] have, there's also so many layers of fear to it all. I'm not quoigenic in the sense that "does not think our origin is relevant," it is relevant. It's very, very relevant to me. I hid under that definition of the term for a long time just because I was in denial. I'm not really talking about traumagenic or endogenic or willogenic. I'm talking about the other, more specific origins. The ones that less people know about. The ones that point to specific traumas or specific things about me/us. The ones that tell more than just a general blanket of information.
It's about being terrified about being known, about being perceived, about being "found out." About looking at other system origin "culture is..." blogs, following, thinking we might be partly this or that, but never making that known, or pushing it down further into denial.
There's so much fear to it. But I.... I'm really glad we have this blog. Thanks for making it. /gen. - [9] (he/it)
