You are good enough

Everyone has insecurities. Parts of themselves that they don't think is good enough. Some individuals believe that they as a whole are not good enough. I respectfully disagree. Everyone is good enough. By right of birth every single life on this planet human or otherwise is good enough. This is a hard sentiment to hold close to your heart and live by. Several times I've found that I was telling lies to try to cheer someone up. I now realize that was wrong of me. If you want to help someone tell the truth. Someone who is already down will be able to tell the difference. It also shows them respect by telling the truth. If for instance your friend is down because of their skill at playing soccer (and they really do suck) try telling them the truth (nicely) by saying, "You may not be the best on the team, but you are the nicest". Tell them a TRUTHFUL compliment. It's not going to make everything better, but it will remind them of the things people appreciate about them and remind them that they are good enough. Everyone has different strengths and we should be proud of them.

I am about to take my giant tank of a cat Locke in to the emergency vet because he’s been having trouble urinating for the entirety of the night and when he does there’s barely anything to show for it and blood is involved…

I’ve been through this once before and I know it’s because he’s blocked again (he had a UTI and stones that required a lengthy hospital visit about three+ years ago and has been on special food since).

… I’m making this post because I also remember how expensive it was to treat and I’m not in any sort of position where I’m going to be able to afford to pay for him to get the treatment he deserves or needs. 

So, this is where you come in- donations and/or signal boosting this across the Great Void would be much appreciated… If you know me, you know I hate asking for help, but here we are. Once I have him checked in I’ll provide any proof asked for (paperwork etc).

I know I haven’t written for a long while, and while I can’t promise anything- I will absolutely try to make it up to anyone who sends me anything.

It sounds like Locke has cystitis (inflammation of the bladder), the vet has said that it’s most likely due to stress which makes perfect sense considering the BIG changes happening in my life currently…

He’s home with me now with a bag full of medication and he’s pretty drugged up:

UPDATE: apparently my sidebar donate doesn’t work, so just the email above through paypal would be golden, if you’re feeling like spreading the wealth.

Also, estimate so far is roughly around $600 which isn’t what it was last time but that’s JUST for the xrays etc. if they find out he’s blocked that’s gonna skyrocket… So, really, begging- this is me doing it. I love this stupid little (read: giant) guy and don’t want to have to put him down when he’s treatable (that was the side option offered to me btw)

Back when I was younger and more ignorant and misinformed than I am now, one of my exes literally made me feel guilty sometimes when he got a boner and I didn’t want to “take care of him”.
