Greylines are an alternative 4-piece from Lock Haven, PA, USA. Close To Home Records were very excited to release their debut EP 'Somewhere Behind' on CD and free digital download back in 2012.
This record was already out digitally by the time I got my ears around it, but luckily, even though the band managed some pretty impressive press in the States, most of the UK hadn't heard it. I jumped at the chance to be associated with such a fantastic EP.

Close To Home Recommends: These Live Weezer Videos
Here we are again, back to lighten up your weekend with a recommendation. I did say on the last entry that it wouldn't all be music related... but we're not there yet.
This week's recommendation is: these live Weezer videos.
As someone who started to hit their teens about the same time as peer to peer sharing became extremely accessible and internet speeds were getting just fast enough to be able to download a song or even a video in the space of 15 minutes (it seems long now but, trust me, that was exciting), I used to download live music videos all the time.
Across the pond in America they seemed to have musical guests on their talk shows that were so much more appealing to me it was unreal. While we'd be stuck with Spice Girls miming along to their latest hit, they'd be watching... oh, I don't know... Hum, Alexisonfire or Weezer.
In fact, not much has changed to this day. We get Sam Smith, they get Eagulls. We get Ed Sheeran, they get King Krule. Honestly, baring Jools Holland occasionally giving the stage to some emerging UK talent - in some cases AFTER a late night show in America has already featured them, we really do draw the short straw when it comes to live music on TV.
Anyway, thankfully we now live in an age where you don't have to wait 15 minutes to download a video that may or may not just be a clip of someone doing a Bill Clinton impression advertising ringtones, instead you can just watch them all on YouTube instantly. Isn't life beautiful?

You can now stream, download (FOR FREE) and buy (on 12") the debut album from Dearist, 'This House Has No Windows'. The record has been picking up positive reviews across the internet with a massive 10/10 from Toxic Online, 9/10 from Amp Kicker and 8/10 from The Soundboard to name a few.
This House Has No Windows by Dearist
Formed in the sleepy midland city of Wolverhampton, the band started out as a studio side project for Kyoto Drive's Adam Binder but quickly became his main focus. Completing a live line up in 2014 recruiting fellow Kyoto band mate Mitch Davis and long-time friends Chris Tucker and Mike Ingram.
'This House Has No Windows' presents a British take on the likes of American pioneers Fugazi, Rival Schools and Thursday. A phrase as broad as emo doesn’t quite encapsulate the scope of Binder’s writing – to describe it as “emotional” would be selling it short, rather this is truly emotive and dynamic rock music with an anxious intensity that bubbles below the surface, a sense of suburban unrest that brushes uneasily up against the sprawling of concrete and the claustrophobia of modern inner-city life.
