Noise Exclusive: Hear Dearist Defeat Life’s Toughest Struggles With Emotional Single “Colours”
Look, as some of you may know, life can be pretty fucking heavy. No, not like Slayer heavy -- just heavy. At any moment, without any sort of warning, your entire existence on this earth can change for better or worse. Just ask Dearist vocalist/guitarist Adam Binder.
Opening up to The Noise about the band’s hard-hitting fast-paced Sonder single “Colours,” the candid frontman shared a devastating story about he and his wife.

Another day another @spartanrecords release. The other variant of Dearist • Sonder. This is the least limited one, but maybe even prettier. Who decides? I still urge you to listen to this @dearistband record, you’ll love it. And seriously, when have I been wrong? :p. #dearist #spartanrecords
Dearist • Sonder (@spartanrecords /100 joy variant). Yes this is another raving @spartanrecords review, and this time it’s @dearistband new record called Sonder. To pinpoint them on 1 genre is quite hard, but musically they sound like a mix of mid ‘00 “emo”(aka the scene stuff, not that real emo) and a 90’s alternative rock band. And it works oh so damn well. If you’re in need of something new on your spotify playlist, go ahead and listen. Won’t be disappointed. And oh yeah. Pick up the record ( the sadness variant is so cool). #spartanrecords #dearist
Album Review: Sonder by Dearist
Album Review: #Sonder by @Dearistband
Wolverhampton quintet Dearist release their second album Sonderon 27th April via Sonder Records. “Coming from Wolverhampton is both a blessing and a curse” sums up drummer Jimmy Taylor, “Wolverhampton was once voted the 5th worst city to live in the world. On one hand it sucks that we live in this dying city where nothing ever happens and where there is no music scene. However, on the other hand,…

REVIEW: Dearist - 'Sonder' LP
2018 looks like it could be Dearist’s year with their sophomore album Sonder dropping this Friday 27th April. The Wolverhampton quintet have managed to encapsulate the essence of 90’s grunge, tinged with 00’s emo, and created a fresh hard-hitting sound, that is undoubtedly passionate in their DIY approach.
Lyrically the whole album offers a blend of catchy hooks in choruses and a feeling of seeing things from another perspective. The sound of this album is something you haven’t heard with recent releases in the same vein, it’s very DIY yet beautifully mastered, offering a seamless journey track by track.
The album starts off with a small intro track, then straight into Beaches. Which kicks off with this awesome riff and the melodic tones of frontman Adam Binder, which sets the tone for the rest to come. Nothing about this album is a hard listen, each track blends seamlessly into the next. Which is something I appreciate about any album. You get taken a long for the ride, which is full of catchy hooks, perfectly executed riffs and breakdowns. In the middle of the album is Essex 1820; the way it starts with the drums; perfection. It’s a beautiful little gem and fits brilliantly between Demuto and Part of You. The album ends on Colours which is more fast-paced and pleasant surprise to end on. Definitely one of my favourites of the 11 tracks on offer.
Sonder is available this Friday 27th via Spartan Records. You can pick up the vinyl here and you can download the album via iTunes.

Dearist Sign to Spartan, Announce New Album and Single
Dearist have announced they have signed to Seatle based label Spartan Records and will be releasing their second LP SONDER on April 27th, you can check out the new single from the album below:
The UK has always been a breeding ground for rock bands with unique sounds and massive hooks. Enter Wolverhampton’s Dearist. From this sleepy midland town comes a modern British take on the likes of American pioneers like Taking Back Sunday, Rival Schools, and Thursday. While a phrase as broad as emo doesn’t quite encapsulate the scope of the band’s sound – to describe it as “emotional” would be selling it short.
Rather, this is truly emotive and dynamic rock music with an anxious intensity that bubbles below the surface — a sense of suburban unrest that brushes uneasily up against the sprawling of concrete and the claustrophobia of modern inner-city life. On Sonder, we witness the band exploring the simple, yet profound realization that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as our own.
Pre order the album on vinyl which comes in two awesome colour-ways! http://spartanrecords.limitedrun.com/products/609298-dearist-sonder
