How did you start learning music?
Especially the ukelele, I’ve been trying to learn for awhile but I only know like four chords, and I’m using an old ukelele that’s like 12 years old and is almost always out of tune….

I taught myself ukulele when I was 17 because I was too impatient to learn guitar. Honestly, the best beginner advice I ever got while I was learning was from an interview with Grace Vanderwaal, where she said to mute your strings and practice strumming patterns while watching tv, listening to music, sitting and chatting, doing literally anything except actually focusing on what you’re doing with your hands. You can’t overthink it !! It will become second nature eventually !!
as far as chords go, you’ve probably already got the basics !! C, G, Am and F will take you far. You can play literally hundreds of songs with just those, and even more if you have a capo !! Start with the easy chords, get comfy with those, then start branching out !!
You might try re-stringing your uke if it won’t hold a tune, or tightening the pegs. You can take it to a music shop and ask for help if you don’t feel confident doing it yourself ( I’ve literally never re-strung any of my ukes and I dread the day I inevitably break a string) !!
