The myth that “masculinity is always privileged over femininity” has gone so far that people literally tell trans men “no one is stopping you from being a man or masculine” to trans men/mascs like transphobia doesn’t exist.

Crazy how quickly people can shift from "transphobic rhetoric is violence in and of itself" to "someone being mean to you isn't transphobia, birthday boy, try facing the real oppression we deal with" the instant the person facing transphobia is a man
sorry but once you notice how often ppl use a southern accent as shorthand for being unintelligent you can never unsee it. classism is baked so deeply and why are you acting like anyone who talks the way my grandfather talks is stupid.
ditto cockney accents being used to denote stupid and evil. why are you acting like someone who talks like a member of the working class is irredeemable and an idiot.
Adding 1) hardcore New Jersey accents and 2) Appalachian accents. I’m sure there are many many more examples from everybody’s specific region. But those are the two I’ve experienced in my family.
My grandpa who grew up in the Great Depression talked like a Jersey City gangster. Because he was a Jersey City gangster. He also ran away from that life as a teenager in an attempt to better himself. He became a high ranking USAF officer and a highly respected flight instructor. Despite this, he was still stereotyped as unintelligent for his accent.
My mom’s entire side of the family is Appalachian. I’m talking “warsh,” and “taters,” and “britches” and any stereotype you want to make about “dumb hillbillies.” I retain some features of Appalachian English even after moving further east. I have the vocabulary. And yeah, I say “water” like “warder.” I’ve come to understand that my everyday speech is just dripping with Appalachian-isms. And I’ve been made fun of relentlessly by preppy rich Southerners for sounding like one of the “dumb” Southerners.
This isn’t even to touch on the subject of my friends who have been bullied out of speaking AAVE— been refused jobs, promotions, opportunities for higher education— because of their use of AAVE.
Making fun of someone’s accent is NEVER okay. Equating someone’s accent with their intelligence is NEVER okay. It is always classist, often racist, and it makes YOU unintelligent.
please respect aplatonics and loveless people too!!!!! putting friendship on a pedestal like so much of the aro community does on here is really alienating tbh

Having delirious thoughts about the use of the word ‘man’ in deltarune. Gingerbread men vs gingerbread monsters is an early example clarifying the use of ‘man’ to mean human and not as a gendered term and this is reenforced in mancountry. All genders are allowed, so man is being used to mean mankind here.
So what does it say that there is a ‘man’ behind the tree?
We know they’re related to some repressed traumatic memory kris had to go to art therapy about. All the other npcs in both egg scenes are darkners kris themselves drew in their past or completely obscured in darkness and kris closes the book on humans when they see pictures of others of their kind. Kris is uncomfortable looking at humans. The man is behind a tree because it’s heavily implied to be how kris repressed the memory of this person’s appearance due to the painting dialogue. Kris and the game do not want to directly show another human but the fact that they exist clearly weighs on kris
i did infact draw them kissing while on the aeroplane
just a bit more can't hurt
I’m sorry disabled trans women the internet has been fucking unbearable but u are loved I promise
