In mapping my cultural capital, I have an access to performing ever since I was in elementary. I am a part of a choir when I was in elementary and was influenced by my mom and my cousins. I am into performing since it somewhat gives comfort and at the same time, I eventually gained and improved my confidence. As time goes by, I still practice singing and added dancing to my art. As I entered college, I was introduced to several organizations and my perspective in different kinds and types of art especially in performing widen. With that I am able to contribute in promoting Filipino culture through dance.
With my cultural capital as a student, it improves and develops my knowledge and skills on a specific performing art which is dancing. It also helps me to be more creative and to be more curious in the field of art that can enable me to do appropriate actions even in my own little ways.
Me and my partner are somewhat similar in our cultural capital. It is just that she is more into the art of music in expressing her creativity and feelings. She was also exposed to the art of music in her childhood but she doesn't practice it much nowadays. She's just more inclined in listening to music.
