So I'm trying out baseball swings as references to get a better understanding. Also I'm practicing on speed lines because I'm early attempts kinda suck.
Coming up next weekend....
Making a overcast sky was a struggle.
Part 3....
Part 2 of my practice run....
Had this gut feeling that I can do better making sky backgrounds. Went looking for cloud brushes and sky tutorials. Some techniques looked useful for practice.
Coming up this Saturday, Cloudy Sky returns to St Cloud Zine Fest.
I've noticed a pattern in a few movies where the protagonist gains a superpower or obtains a powerful weapon. They don't seem to use said power/weapon in most situations where it's deems necessary. As if the film and/or plot put in an arbitrary cool down period. If that's to prevent protagonists from becoming OP that's understandable. But I think a better idea would be having protagonists fight tougher enemies later on. Raising stakes to make the fight scenes more interesting. Instead of giving them a plot convenient handicap to make things fair for the bad guys.
Incoming Motivation:
Thought I tried a different body type than usual and a humanoid whale pugilist came to mind.
Next Saturday Cloudy Sky Comics makes it first stop with Twin Cities Zine Fest. See you there....
Joining in on the centaur/year of the horse train with my first attempt at it. Enjoy....
Talent, artistic or otherwise isn't something you're born with. It's a skill you have to learn in order to obtain it. Talent isn't some magical ability that just comes to you on a whim.
