story of my life
We’ve all been there...
I remember seeing this short film a long time ago. Basically, this little machine sees a television with a pretty doll face. She wants to be just like what she sees on t.v, and changes her appearance. The standards get higher and higher (literally), but she tries earnestly.
You can see what happens in the end. This video leaves a powerful message about how our standards of beauty are too high and soon it becomes out of reach.
As one of the comments of the video says
“She was original but she died a copy.”

Across China, where new developments are keeping pace with the rapidly growing economy, reports continue to surface so-called “nail houses.” These properties, standing alone amid the ruins of other buildings, belong to owners who have stood their ground and resisted demolition. Defiant property owners say the compensation being offered is too low. Some of them have remained in their homes for years as their court cases drag on and new construction continues all around them.
This is a half-demolished apartment building that stands in the middle of a newly built road thanks to a Chinese couple that refused to move in Wenling, in eastern China’s Zhejiang province, on November 22, 2012. Luo Baogen, 67, and his 65-year-old wife waged a four-year battle to receive more compensation than was offered by the local government of Daxi, a Chinese newspaper said.
