Now that I have your attention, I wanted to one again highlight a Palestinian user on tumblr who goes by the name of Nader Al-Anqar. ( @abdalsalam2000 ). Nader and I have been speaking for so long now that I cannot remember when we began. I regularly receive updates from he and his family through WhatsApp, and it breaks my heart to see that his situation – like many from Palestine – is worsening.

Nader’s father is 54 years old and is currently fighting cancer. He is under observation in hospital and requires medication. You can read about the family’s situation more in this thread. Nader desperately wants to get his father evacuated, as he cannot receive the treatment he needs at their current location. On top of that, incessant bombing and malnutrition are threatening the family’s safety. I fear every day that each message I receive from Nader could be his last. He does not have the privileges of housing and income that many of us living in the imperial core take for granted. I cannot stand by and do nothing.
