Bit late posting this but as TGWDLM Remount is up on Starkid's youtube, I felt like noting a few things down that I loved specifically about the West End version in London earlier this year that I noticed were a bit different to the one in LA:

Ivan Fernandez Gonzalez's Professor Hidgens. He was so brilliant. His version felt very Doc Brown which I personally thought worked really well. And nothing will top his pronunciation of the word 'biologist'

Ted sliding fast onto stage in his chair and into Paul, that made me laugh SO MUCH

Emma at Beanie's saying she doesn't want to sing and hold anyone up because there's a line and gestures to there being, in fact, no line (I know this was also in the LA version, but it really made me chuckle)

Paul's 'ok' interlude after 'la dee dah dah day' - Jon ran back on stage after exiting, making it seem like Paul thought everyone would just appear again like the song was a big joke, but of course there was no one there, so he just went offstage again, continuing his little ok's - Jon Matteson, you are a treasure

After fleeing Beanie's, Paul and Emma didn't go through the audience in the West End, they just wandered around the stage, which I actually thought was quite funny - just to watch them do laps and do improv haha

Bill, Charlotte and Ted popping out of actual trashcans was an extra bonus from where I was sat in the circle as I watched Joey, Jamie and Corey crawling onto stage and into position haha

Joey's army guy character saying 'all clear dad!' - I don't think this was in the LA version!? IT'S SO MUCH FUNNIER

The night I saw the show, when McNamara throws Paul's phone, Jeff actually missed and it didn't go offstage. He had to pick it up and throw it again, classic Starkid goof, everyone loved it

Just got done watching the remount and can we talk about how fucking TRANSCENDENT this moment was???

Everyone talks about Paul’s musical torture time loop but EMMA

She arguably has it the worst because not only is she the final survivor and has to watch everyone else die but she is the only one who realizes that she is LITERALLY trapped in a musical. At least the others had the dignity of thinking they died in an actual alien/zombie apocalypse. She sees how nobody is going to help her because all her suffering is literally just entertainment for us

And the way she screams into the spotlight and it is drowned out by the music gives me literal chills omg I rewatched it like 18 times it’s sooooo good

And the way she begs the audience for help during bows… Inevitable was already the best song but this remount made it a million times better
