Momoko Sakura, the creator of the much-loved "Chibi Maruko-chan" manga and anime series about a little girl called Maruko, died of breast cancer on Aug. 15
Some sad news to share - Momoko Sakura, the creator of the iconic Chibi Maruko-chan, has passed away from breast cancer at age 53. The manga started in 1986 and ran til 1996, but the anime that started in the 90s is still a family favorite, still currently running on TV now. RIP to an iconic shoujo manga creator.

I apologize for not being entirely honest with you. I apologize for not revealing my true feelings. I apologize, sir, for not telling you sooner that you’re a degenerate, sadistic old man. And you can go to hell before I apologize to you now or ever again!

Negative Space Interview
I finally had the chance to meet Max Porter and Ru Kuwahata, the animators behind the Negative Space film. Check out the clips below.
The animated short film Negative Space is actually an adaptation of a poem by Ron Koertge, this is a conversation between him and the creators of the film.
And here’s the poem: https://wordsfortheyear.com/2014/12/19/negative-space-by-ron-koertge/

Did it matter, then, she asked herself, walking toward Bond Street. Did it matter that she must inevitably cease, completely. All this must go on without her. Did she resent it? Or did it not become consoling to believe that death ended absolutely? It is possible to die. It is possible to die.
