New Kid Blues // Amora & Rick
Amora accepted the ear bud with a smile and held it up to her ear to listen to whatever music came from it. She didnât put it in her ear, the thing hurt since it was not something her ears were used to having inside them. Still, the music rang clear enough as if it were. The music sounding into one ear she used the other to pick up on Rickâs words. She tilted her head and looked away a moment at his explanation In a way she was a foster child too, only it was Odin who housed her before she ran away. âI can relate in a way.â She said with a shrug but did not approach the matter any further. âI am sorry to hear that your childhood has not been kind. Seems that is to be one thing that relates to many in this school.â Amora smiled then, an attempt to push past the subject. âSo this music, I like it. Granted it is different from what I am used to hearing, but it is pretty good.â
Rick beamed at Amora. He loved the band she was listening to, as he often felt he could relate to her lyrics. He hummed along with the song, not even really paying attention to Amora. "Yeah, well, I'm not complaining. I just really wish someone would have stopped me from going into that Military base." He looked up at the sky and smiled when Amora said she liked the music. "That's good because I don't know that I could like you if you hated her," Rick playfully nudged her. "I mean, she's my favorite. Her music got me through tough times, so I owe her for the genius music she plays."Â
