So… sad announcement. It’s not really something that I want to be writing, because I loved what I did and the audience that came with it, but…
I won’t be continuing writing on any of my blogs anymore.
This is honestly a really hard post to make, especially after I went through all the trouble of initially making new blogs about a year ago to regain motivation and control over my writing blogs. It’s just that my life (can you believe I actually have one outside of Tumblr? Yeah, me neither) has gotten too hectic for me to keep up request blogs. I won’t go into detail, but there’s been a lot of change happening up in the bitch, and it’s been getting too much.
Admittedly, making this post is just a confirmation for those who wondered where I went. My last update on any writing blog was almost a year ago, and my inboxes are full of a variety of requests; a lot of which I desperately wanted to do, but couldn’t find the motivation to execute. I thought that writing prompts would be a good way to get back into the swing of things, but to no avail. And it doesn’t help that anytime I would get some sort of motivation, one look at my hollow husk of blogs was enough to kill it.
I’ve realized over the years that I’m not a reliable blog for requests. It’s hard to keep up with them, and they can feel like a chore more than anything. Don’t get me wrong, I loved a lot of the requests I got, but I found myself wanting to live up to the requester’s idea of how it should go instead of my own. A lot of your requests inspired spin-off ideas that I wanted to execute, but felt guilty doing so because A.) it’s not fufilling what the requester wanted, and B.) I was writing something new instead of focusing on my inbox; I didn’t want to face any disappointment from you guys.
So, reflecting on my clusterfuck experience, I want to say that I’m actually glad I decided to make my blogs. It allowed me to meet cool people, grow a small audience that surprisingly loved my work, and gave me something to do during the lockdown (that’s the origin story of everything, believe it or not). And looking forward, I know I’m not going to quit writing, I still have a lot of cool ideas, after all. They just won’t be on any of my now dead blogs, as those blogs remind me of my lowkey failure as a writer. Who knows, you might see freelance writing blogs popping up in the future with a similar writing style as me… hmm…
I not only want to apologize again for going AWOL and returning with a shit announcement, but also with how disorderly this post may be, LMAO. This is a really depressing post, so I’m not gonna dwell too much on the formatting.
Hope y’all are doing well, and thanks for humoring my crazy little stories.
Well… I regretfully inform you that there will be no more updates…
I honestly didn’t expect that series to blow up like it did, as it just started with a simple headcanon post years ago. Now look at where it is; one of my most requested stories ever. Holy shit, y’all.
But, around the 3rd part, I had a hunch that this unexpected turn would be its ultimate demise; I had no idea what direction the story was supposed to go in. And there were a lot of suggestions for how the story should go, and I just can’t live up to all of them… I found myself stressing out over the whole thing, to the point where I thought I would have to make multiple endings to satisfy every party.
While my time with the Puppy Obsession torch may end here, I’m not opposed to anyone picking it up and trying their hand at a very obsessed and delusional Leon.
Again, very sorry for this disappointing return message… not as hype as my previous one, is it? But just remember, I’m not done with writing. You may see me around in the future, winky face.
Hello !!!! I saw that you write for Ephraim and since I adore him, may I please request him with [ "don't worry sweetheart, i'll never leave your side." ] Or [ "at least look me in the eyes when you lie to me." ] ? Thank you very much and I'm glad you're well!
PROMPT #3 AND #16
Yandere Ephraim x Reader
YES. HI. HELLO. Ephraim’s one of those characters that just… naturally feels like a yandere to me? Like, for no reason at all, too.
Rednsuch’s prompt list #3 and #16; “don’t worry sweetheart, I’ll never leave your side” and “at least look me in the eyes when you lie to me.”
Reader is gender neutral.
Contains: manhandling, mentions of injuries (technically accidental), a failed escape attempt, delusional behavior, non-described punishment mentioned.
He threw you into his tent like a rag-doll. An indignant wheezing noise came from your throat as the wind was knocked out of your lungs, your head making hard contact with the rough ground. It took a couple seconds for you to muster the strength to raise yourself onto your forearms, then to sit upright as you cranes your head upwards at your captor.
This was a stark contrast to his usual gentle nature. There were times where he would accidentally manhandle you, sure, but that was simply because a war-hardened man like him (with almost inhuman strength) just wasn’t quite used to handling things with care. It took a while for you to understand that the bruises on your hands from how firmly he held them — or the broken ribs you’ve suffered from one of his extremely affectionate hugs — wasn’t on purpose. Other than that, however, he saw you as a beautiful porcelain doll; one that had no place on a battlefield.
So, for him to treat you like this…
No doubt about it, he was livid.
“That was quite the stunt,” he spat out at you, voice eerily calm for how pissed off he seemed. His brows were furrowed as his fists clenched at his sides, and scornful eyes burned holes into your skull. It was a foreign sight to you, and one you prayed you’d never see again… should he be merciful enough to you after this.
You willed down the shiver that wanted to crawl up your spine. “I… I don’t—”
Before you could spit out the garbled mess of words that were swimming around in your mouth, he cut you off. “My love, do you really think of me as so foolish?!”
Admittedly, you did. The plan was to trick him into thinking you had fallen ill, pretending to have such a horrendous sickness that left you coughing and rasping, so that the medics would have no choice but to keep you isolated from everyone. It was a struggle to pry you from the hands of Ephraim, as he kept insisting he wasn’t one to catch sicknesses, but the medics eventually one the battle with the help of a very worried Seth. When you were moved to the medicinal tent, you had obtained a cleric’s cloak, which you used to disguise yourself in your escape plan. No one seemed to recognize it was you under the hood as you wove your way through camp, finally making it into the surrounding woods before absolutely booking it.
If Ephraim hadn’t miraculously sensed something was off moments prior to your escape, you probably would’ve been hours ahead of his troops by now.
He found you himself. Because of course he did. All he did was sling you over his shoulder, marching back to camp without uttering a single word. You knew better than to struggle at that point; there was no way you could weasel your way out of his iron grip, and it wouldn’t help your case when he would inevitably want answers. So you allowed yourself to lay limp against him, your heartbeat thumping in your ears as you silently prayed to whatever higher power was out there to have mercy on your poor soul.
You couldn’t bring yourself to return his fiery gaze. It was too much for you, and the heavy atmosphere of his tent was already enough to make you want to curl into yourself. Eyes cast down to the floor, you swallowed the lump in your throat, trying to find your voice. “I-I… don’t know what… what came over me…”
There was a long period of silence that followed your response. Seconds felt like hours as you waited for him to do something, and though you couldn’t see his eyes, you could still feel them on you, making your shoulders tremble. After a while, you heard him take a couple of slow steps towards you before kneeling, making you gnaw at the inside of your cheek from anxiety. A finger found it’s way underneath your chin — the contact making your breath hitch — and he gently tilted your head upwards to face him.
“My darling…” the anger in his eyes seemed to be extinguished, but you knew better than to be lured into a false sense of security. Ephraim was a master of steeling his emotions, and if anything, the unreadable expression on his face caused you more apprehension than his previously furious one. He seemed to study your face for a few moments, his thumb delicately tracing over your chin, before calmly continuing; “at least look me in the eyes when you lie to me.”
Your heart dropped entirely at his words. Any hope of playing this off as anything other than an escape attempt completely went out the window. Maybe you should’ve continued your fake coughing, to keep up the facade of your apparent sickness. Or perhaps you should’ve started to scream out insane and incoherent nonsense, to have him believe this was all just a sickness-induced episode. If only your brain wasn’t shocked by the initial fear of his breathing against your neck—
His hand snaking down from your chin to the small of your back snapped you out of your thoughts. At first, you worried he was going to grab the back of your tunic and throw you across the tent, but then he planted his other hand between your shoulder blades to pull you into his chest. It was yet another one of his bone-crushing hugs, which made breathing a little hard to manage, but you would rather this over him intentionally hurting you any day. His lips brushed against your forehead before he let his head rest atop of yours.
“That was cruel, beloved…” his voice was low, and you could feel the vibration of his words against your skin. “That was so cruel, what you did to me…”
The arms around you got impossibly tighter, as if giving you the tiniest amount of room would be enough for you to escape from his grasp. Your lungs began to scream for oxygen, you hear tilting to the side against his chest so you could have easier access to air. He was silent for what felt like ages, probably thinking of what to say next. Or perhaps he was waiting for some sort of apology from you.
Either way, he spoke up again when it was evident you were staying silent. “I can’t allow this to happen again, my dearest. You know that. I understand that this war has been hard for the both of us, but you to run away from me like that again… I can’t bear the thought.”
“… Ephraim,” you winced out. It was hard to say anything under his bone-crushing hold, your ribs compressing from the sheer force of his affection. Anything that you wanted to say died off in a pathetic gasping noise as he continued to hold onto your for dear life.
“My love,” the minty-haired man cooed. “Nothing in the world could come close to what your worth.” His tone turned into something low and dangerous. “Every battle I fight, I fight for you. I fight see your face, to hold you in my arms again, to yield my heart unto you…”
Don’t, you mentally pleaded. Don’t fight for me. Fight for your kingdom — your people — but leave me out of your damn life...!!
Unfortunately, he was too delusional to see that; too caught up in the fantasy that you were meant for each other to carry out his duties as the Prince of Renais. And, more despairingly, too delusional to understand that keeping you captive wasn’t going to make you love him.
“I’m here for you. No matter whatever schemes you use to hurt me, I will always be here for you.” He paused to allow a soft sigh to tumble from his lips. “Don’t worry, sweetheart. I’ll never leave your side. I vow it.”
As your skin crawled at his proclamation, he gripped your forearms to pull you away from his chest. There was a moment of relief where you could breathe again, the pressure against your lungs finally alleviated, but all that changed when you caught a glimpse of his expression; brows furrowed, jaw locked, mouth formed into a thin and disapproving frown…
“In the meantime,” he began, a dark look clouding his eyes, “I have to make sure you never come up with such a vile plot against me ever again.”
Unfortunately, you weren’t able to evade a punishment this time.
Lololol I’m the one who requested number 4! I was thinking about choosing someone but then I thought, ‘Gah what if I choose someone lame and get a bad grade in anon requesting!!! >n<‘. The most I can narrow it down to would probably be Percy or Tanjiro, please forgive my indecisiveness 🙏
PROMPT #4
Yandere Percy Jackson x Reader
I KNOW THE FEELING, LMAO. But you don’t need to worry about that, cuz I only write for characters I like, so any character off of my masterlist is a-okay. I had to go with Percy on this, cuz I just can’t imagine my Tanjiboy saying the word “fuck,” he’s too sweet. <3
Rednsuch’s prompt list #4; “you drive my fucking crazy!”
Reader is gender neutral.
Contains: blood, feelings of terror, non consensual touching (non sexual).
“(YYY/NNN)… where aaaarrrre youuuuuu?”
You prayed to the gods your body was fully underneath the bed.
It was a horrible hiding spot. You knew it was. But when you saw his blood-splattered form approach your cabin from the window, your choices were pretty limited. All you could do was choose a bunk to hastily slide under, clamp your hands over your mouth, and try not to flinch at the sound of your cabin door slowly creaking open.
Floorboards groaned from protest under his careful steps. The closer he got to your hiding place, the more prominent you could see his shadow. You had to stifle a whimper when one of his blood-caked Converse came into view.
“(Y/N)… c’mon, now!” Despite his playful tone, you could distinctly hear the danger that laced his words. “It’s just me, baby!”
If that was supposed to help quell your fear, it did more harm than good.
Willing your body to stay still was proving to be difficult. The tremors of fear that started from the base of your spine, crawling up your back and into your shoulders, were just too strong as the son of Poseidon continued his search. You almost jumped when you heard him rip open a closet door, your eyes beginning to sting from pure terror.
Was this a pathetic sight for your godly parent? Hiding underneath a bunk bed from another demigod? You had fought empousae and manticores, snakes and minotaurs, yet here you were; cowering away from someone you’ve beat in a sparring match a handful of times before.
… Then again, maybe the rumors of Percy going easy on you were true…
His footsteps snapped you out of your thoughts. You could feel the vibration of the floorboards as he slowly got closer, closer, closer to your spot. When both of his shoes were planted in front of your face, your breathing stopped entirely.
A thoughtful hum rang out from above. “Now, where could they’ve gone…?”
You watched one of his knees lower towards the ground, then the other. He looked as if he was praying on the bunk above, and you genuinely thought that’s what he was doing for a couple of seconds.
But then his dirtied hand planted itself on the floor. “Surely, they wouldn’t be…” by the time you realized what was happening, it was too late. Your wide eyes watched in horror as he shifted his body so that it could lay flat on the floor, his crazed expression face-to-face with your own terrified one. “… Under one of these beds?”
You managed to snap out of your petrified state to deliver a swift kick to his stomach. Before your foot could connect with anything, however, a hand firmly grasped around your ankle and yanked you out from under the bunk. A yelp came from your lips as your nails desperately clawed at the floorboards.
“GET AWAY FROM ME,” you screamed. Your free leg tried to kick at him, but he only caught it with his other hand. He continued to drag you across the floor until you were fully out in the open.
“You put up quite the fight, (Y/N),” he chuckled, sitting down on the floor so he can pull you into his lap. Your struggle continued as his arms snaked around your body, anchoring you in place. The putrid smell of blood filled your nostrils, and you had to fight back the urge to gag.
When you realized you couldn’t weasel your way out of his grip, you swallowed thickly. “P… Percy… please… let me go!!”
“I’ve been dreaming about this for a long time,” was what you got in response. He seemingly didn’t hear your plea as his face buried into the crook of your neck. You could feel him inhale your scent, his mouth moving against your skin. “You’re all I think about, y’know. Ever since I first saw you, I wanted nothin’ more than to make you mine.”
One hand rubbed circles into your back while the other tightened around your waste. Your heart dropped when you felt his lips against your jawline, a grimace crossing over your features. You wanted so desperately to push him away — to claw at his face and elbow his jaw — but you found yourself frozen in place.
“Gods,” he sighed. The hand on your back traveled up to your cheek, and you willed yourself to not pull away from it in fear of upsetting him. “You mess with my head, (Y/N). Y’know that, right? You drive me fucking crazy!”
What had you done to deserve this? Did you upset some god so much that they bound you to some sick prophecy? Surely, this had to be one really long nightmare; none of this — the bloodshed, the terror, the obsession — had to be real…
All you could do was pray for your godly parent to save as you Percy held you tighter against his body.
Do the prompts mean only the yandere can say the prompts
Nope! I’ll just need you to specify in the request. And I also need to know if the reader is the yandere in that situation or not, cuz I might automatically assume that’s what you want.
OHOHOHO I just KNOW that you gotta do 47 for John Ward😩🥵🥵🥵
PROMPT #47
Yandere John Ward x Reader
HOT PRIEST NEW YEARS, LET’S GOOOOO. I like the way you think, anon.
Rednsuch’s prompt list #47; “you truly are a goddess/god/deity.”
The reader is gender neutral.
Contains: blood, religious references, feelings of unease.
You knew John to be a passive man. God-fearing and slow to anger (some would even describe him as timid), your priest friend would sooner pray for his adversaries than lay a hand on them. He was the type to accidentally let a frustrated “goddamnit” out before instant regret would wash over him and cause him to apologize profusely.
So to see him covered in blood…
That was definitely something you weren’t expecting to see on your doorstep at 1 in the morning.
You didn’t even know it was him at first. His hair and face were caked in so much blood that he was almost beyond recognition. Which is why you initially stumbled backwards at the sight, thinking a random bloodied man decided to rapidly pound on your door.
If it wasn’t for the clergy collar around his neck, you would’ve slammed the door shut and called the cops.
“… John,” you managed to say, your voice sounding a bit breathy from your shock. “John, what happened?!”
There was no expression on his face. Stone cold eyes stared back at you, though his gaze felt far-off and distant. You glanced down at his trembling hands to see him clutching his blood-coated crucifix like a lifeline. Something bad definitely happened to your priest friend. But… what was it?
When it was apparent you were getting no response, you carefully reached a hand out for him. “John, are you alright…?”
You hand barely even grazed his shoulder before he screamed at you. “D-DON’T TOUCH ME!!” He flinched away from your hand, holding his crucifix above his head as though he was warding you off. “PLEASE… PLEASE, DON’T TOUCH ME…!!”
That was enough to make you take a couple steps back. Your hand had retreated to your chest, and your brows furrowed at his outburst. Was he in a lot of pain from an injury? Can’t really tell, you mentally noted. There was just too much blood covering his form that you couldn’t distinguish any sort of gashes or bruises. Though you did take note of the couple of years in his cassocks.
“… Don’t touch me,” he repeated once more. His voice was much quieter — much more broken — than before. His eyes held such a painful gaze… one you had never seen before. “Y-you’ll soil your perfect hands… you’ll soil them by touching such a disgusting man…”
You had no idea what he was talking about. Soil your hands? Your perfect hands? Was he worried about your own hands getting bloody, or was he covered in something much more dangerous to the touch than blood?
“John,” you started, trying to keep the shakiness out of your voice, “you’re scaring me… what the hell happened to you?!”
His eyes slowly widened, a horrified glint overtaking them. You noticed how the white scleras were a stark contrast to the deep crimson that painted his face. There was a cluttering noise that caused your shoulders to jolt, and when you looked down, you realized he dropped his crucifix.
“Scaring… you…?” It was as though the concept was foreign to him; even the very words were hard for him to choke out. He caught you by surprise by quickly dropping to his knees, the sheer impact sounding painful against the ground. You watched him with wary eyes as he buried his face in his hands, a pained noise escaping his lips. “Oh, God… I-I didn’t mean to— I would never want to scare you, (Y/N)… no, n-no, that’s the last thing I would want to do..!!” There was another noise that was muffled behind his hands, and you realized it was a sob. “Please, my beloved, y-you have to believe me! Please don’t be scared of me—!!”
His words — though they clenched your heart — did nothing to ease your growing anxiety. He sounded like he was begging for your forgiveness, like a sinner would do for God on judgement day. You wanted nothing more than to pull him back up to his feet and scream at him for answers. Did someone hurt him? Did he hurt someone? Was that blood his own, or did it belong to someone else?
But you had to remain calm. If you freaked out on him in his current start, Lord knows what would happen. “Hey, hey,” you softly began. You debated on placing a hand on him again, but then quickly remembered what happened the last time you tried that. Instead, you swallowed the uncomfortable lump in your throat and continued; “it’s okay, John. It’s okay. I… I believe you.”
His shoulders jolted upwards as he sucked in a sharp breath. You found yourself fearing that you upset him even more than he already was. Had you said the wrong thing..?
“… Merciful,” he muttered to himself, though you could barely hear it from how soft and muffled it was. He lifted his head from his hands to give you a shaky smile and your breath hitched at the sight of his glossy eyes. There was something unnerving — dangerous, even — swimming in his gaze.
If you weren’t scared before, you sure as hell were scared now.
He seemed ignorant to your uneasy state, however, and continued to babble nonsense to himself. “You’re always so merciful, my beloved. You would even have mercy f-for me…” a hiccup interrupted his sentence, his hands curling into fists on the ground, “I don’t deserve it… I don’t deserve any of your mercy, (Y/N). A.. a man like me should be cast to the darkest pits of hell… yet…” another hiccup, “yet you still have mercy for me..!!”
That crazed look in his eyes only got more intense. Coupling that with the blood smeared on his face caused your heart to beat rapidly in your ears. This wasn’t like John. You were friends, sure, but the only person he would speak this highly of was the Lord Himself during prayer. In fact, right now…
Tell me what does Leon "steal my shit" Kennedy does with my fucking clothes, *ahem* I mean the readers clothes. WHAT DOES HE DOOOO???
Like actually what does he need an entire horde of probably sweaty and overworn clothes, what perv shit is he on? 😭
SLIGHT 18+/NSFW THEMES DISCUSSED.
Hi, bestie.
I’ll try to keep it short an sweet; Leon likes your scent. The amount of times he’s buried his face into one of your sweatshirts and just inhaled for hours… yeah… it’s ridiculous. Your clothes are piled on his bed like a nest, the smell of you lulling him into a dreamland filled with your face. He’ll clutch onto a pair of sweatpants as the dream gets a little risqué… his whimpers and whines fill the room, his body tossing and turning. There’s something about the combination of the dream and your scent that makes him wake up in a cold sweat — a fire ignited down south — and you bet your ass he’ll be using your clothes to… ahem… assist him.
So, when your clothes magically appeared on your bed one day, let’s hope you either thoroughly washed them or just outright burnt them. :)
Bet y’all weren’t expecting me to return. What a proper 2022 send-off.
It feels so good to be back, oh my god. Do y’all know how many drafts I went through with Puppy Obsession part 5? Spoiler alert; it was a LOT. I’ve had many ideas for yandere-related content over this past year, but I wanted to do y’all right and give you what you were waiting for. I’ve also gotta go back and reformat all of my archived posts, cuz I was hella lazy and didn’t feel like adding the bullet points/italics.
So, important announcement: I’M BACK.
… Except 2 things;
Please don’t request Puppy Obsession VI. I already know y’all want it. It’ll be here someday, just give me a break, SOBS.
I will be accepting prompt list asks ONLY.
Veterans of the clusterfuck-yandere blog will recognize Rednsuch’s wonderful yandere prompt list, which you can find here. I will be accepting requests from this prompt list with characters from my masterlist. If you want a certain scenario with the prompt, you can also add that in with the ask (i.e. if you want the reader to be kidnapped, married, etc).
Just to reiterate; I will be accepting prompt list asks from Rednsuch’s prompt list, and any other sort of ask will unfortunately be deleted.
I’m just not quite ready to get back into the swing of writing again, sorry!
Y’all wanted it, so y’all got it. Thank you for being so patient and waiting an entire fucking year (Christ, has it really been that long??). And so — without further ado — I hope you enjoy part 5 of this quirky series, tee hee.
This is in HC format.
The reader is gender neutral.
Contains: feelings of paranoia, being hunted, deliberations on murder, Stockholm syndrome if you squint.
↳ ༉‧₊ You woke up to the worst pain in your life.
And that’s no exaggeration, either.
Your legs felt like they were splintering at the bone, and your cheeks stung of tiny cuts. Not to mention your aching joints and muscles.
After a while, however, you managed to sit upright without falling flat back on the ground. And that’s when you decided to assess your current situation;
You had no idea where the fuck you were.
It was morning, at least, so you were able to see the tall trees that surrounded your battered form. The only thing you could hear were the soft chirps of distant birds.
Lost in a forest, you noted. So, escaping WASN’T just a dream…
Part of you wanted to rejoice at this revelation. You were finally free; free from him. After being in that basement for god knows how long, you escaped..!!
But another part of you knew it wasn’t that simple.
You knew he was coming after you. Hell, he was probably searching all night, and even still searching. There’s no way he would just let you hit him with a vase, jump through a window, and disappear into the woods.
You might’ve escaped, but you quite literally weren’t out of the woods yet.
Which is why you found yourself struggling to your feet. It hurt like a bitch (maybe jumping out of a window was a bad idea), but the remaining adrenaline of the night before — mixed with your unwavering determination — got you standing in no time.
If you wanted to remain free, you had to keep moving.
It was the only way.
↳ ༉‧₊ Walking through the woods was a nightmare in itself.
And it wasn’t because your legs ached with every step. Well, that might’ve been part of it, but it definitely was the least of your worries.
Every single sound you heard — every snap of a twig or crunch of a leaf — sent waves of terror through your body. For all you knew, any of those sounds could’ve been him.
God, what if he was following you from a distance? Carefully watching until you took a rest, which would be the perfect moment for him to catch you off guard?
Then again, he probably wouldn’t be patient enough for that. If he saw you, he’d probably waste no time in tackling you or something.
A shiver went up your spine, though you didn’t know if it was the chilly morning air or the thought of him charging at you…
All the more reason to keep moving, you told yourself.
But… moving towards where?
These woods were unfamiliar to you, and you weren’t sure if Leon had neighbors in the woods.
Maybe you could find a nearby town? Or a campsite of some sort? Even a highway would be good enough.
Whatever was closest, you’d find a way to work with it.
Anywhere that wasn’t near him was like heaven, after all.
↳ ༉‧₊ The woods seemed to go on for hours.
And, admittedly, it probably did.
You had no idea how long you were walking for. But the sun was right above your head, meaning it was almost likely around noontime.
Though your rumbling stomach was really the only indication you needed for the time…
Okay, you had to admit; your escape wasn’t so well-thought out. You were so hung up on the actual escape part that you didn’t really think about what would happen afterwards. And that was really evident in your lack of food… which is kind of important for survival.
Maybe I should’ve taken a bit longer to plan…
You shook the thought from your head. There was no way you would spend anymore time in that place. If you had to sleep one more night with him, you might’ve lost it.
… Though, maybe you already have lost it.
Even so, you still had to keep moving. No matter how tired your pained legs were, you had to keep looking for something. There was no time for a break; you couldn’t take a break.
↳ ༉‧₊ Your body, however, had other plans.
By the time the sky was a brilliant orange color, you were practically crawling on the forest floor.
You bitterly thought about how pathetic you must’ve looked; wrinkled clothing caked in mud, dirt underneath your fingernails, hands clawing into the earth to drag the rest of your body forward…
And it didn’t help that your stomach was rumbling louder than you would’ve preferred…
Or that your throat felt so dry…
However, your luck seemed to be turning around a bit when your ears picked up on a soft, trickling, gushing noise.
Water.
The thought of a river or stream nearby motivates you enough to shakily get off of the ground, your legs stumbling towards the promising sounds of nice, cold water.
It didn’t take long before you managed to find yourself on a riverbank, jagged pebbles crunching under your feet as you lurched towards the clear and glittering water.
You wasted no time in cupping your hands and plunging them into the river. The cool water felt refreshing against your hands, creating a soothing ripple effect across your entire aching body.
Was this water clean? Probably not. God knows what nasty particles were swimming around in this unfiltered river water, and you did not want to know where this water was coming from.
But none of that stopped you from bringing your hands up to your lips and gulping it down.
You repeated this action about 5 or 6 times, the cool water doing good to quench your thirst. Despite the earthy taste — and the overwhelming flavor of straight-up river — it was probably the best water you’ve had in a while.
↳ ༉‧₊ It was then that you decided to take a break for the rest of the night.
The sun was barely peeking behind the tree line at this point, and wandering in the dark wasn’t going to do you any favors.
Besides, that little voice in the back of your head that was pleading for you to rest was getting on your nerves.
You cupped some water into your hands once more to splash your face, effectively removing whatever dirt and grime you had collected. The cold liquid against your skin made you feel much more rejuvenated than when you initially woke up.
You also took the time to dip your sore feet into the river to provide some sense of relief. A sigh of relief was pulled from your lips as you looked up to the darkening sky.
Why did it have to be you? Why did this sick fuck have to destroy everything — your promising career, your general sense of safety, your entire life — all because of his borderline psychotic obsession?
Did you piss off whatever god was out there so badly that they decided to punish you like this? Did they create Leon Kennedy to be your own personal demon? Someone that would latch himself onto you like a parasite and drain you of everything you loved?
I... I have to make you love me, his twisted voice echoed in your head. I— I need to make you love me… pl— please— please love me…
Love me…
Love me…
Love me…
A distant twig snapping made your shoulders jolt.
↳ ༉‧₊ It was him.
There was something about the way a shiver ran up your spine that made you know.
He was somewhere nearby.
So, as quietly as you could manage, you pulled your feet out from the river and frantically scanned your surroundings.
There was a thick, good-sized tree with a bush next to it that would (hopefully) provide adequate cover should he look your way. Hiding from him made you feel pathetic — you were supposed to be an officer; someone who was fearless and brave — but you had no idea what he was armed with.
Or if he minded cuddling with a dead body.
That’s why you darted towards the tree. You paid extra mind towards the dead leaves on the ground, making sure not to create any sound that would alert him, as you dove behind your makeshift cover.
It was quiet for a few moments. The only sound you could hear was the trickling body of water next to you, and you were starting to doubt yourself.
Maybe it wasn’t him after all…
But another twig snapped — sounding much closer than before — and your stomach dropped completely.
Crunch… crunch… crunch… crunch…
You could hear dead leaves being stepped on by careful feet, getting louder and louder by the second. Your head carefully peaked out from behind the tree and bush as you silently prayed for it to be someone else; anyone else.
But, of course, fate never worked in your favor.
When he came into your field of vision, you had to fight your initial urge to bolt the other direction. But you knew better than to give away your location and have him chase you in your current state.
So, instead, you took notice of his current state.
He was still in his RPD uniform, though it was caked in mud and dirt. His hair was sporting a similar grimy look with dirty blonde strands poking every which way.
You weren’t close enough to admire him in full detail, but you did manage to catch the cuts that littered his face.
As well as the good-sized chunk of porcelain that was embedded in his forehead.
A dark part of your mind felt satisfied at this.
↳ ༉‧₊ Fortunately for you, he didn’t seem to notice your hiding spot.
You watched him slowly the riverbank, most likely trying to pick up on any signs that you were at least nearby.
It felt like hours passed before his head lowered towards the river. His shoulders hitched upwards before sagging downwards; you guessed it was from him heaving a sigh.
Maybe that means he’s given up, you thought. Or at least moving on to a new area.
But any hope of that went out the window when he suddenly dropped to his knees, his hands clutching at the pebbles on the riverbank.
You weren’t expecting him to do that, which is probably why you felt your entire body flinch. Your eyes narrowed as you watched him intently.
What is he doing?
Your question was quickly answered by the front sniffling noises that filled the evening air. Leon’s entire body seemed to tremble as the sniffling turned into full-on sobs.
He was crying.
Of course. Just your luck to have him come to the exact same area you’re in… just to cry.
All you could do was uncomfortably watch him wail into his hands, his body curling into itself.
“… (Y/N),” you could faintly hear him whimper. “(Y/N)… wh-where are you?!”
The way he sobbed out your name crawled underneath your skin, sending a deep chill up your back.
He reminded you of a lost child crying out for his parents…
Except this lost child needs to fuck off, you mentally spat out.
In between his hiccups, you could hear those disgusting I love you’s he would mumble into your ear. The ones that would haunt you during the night, or when he was away at work.
“I… love y-you… I-I love you…”
“I love you…”
“I love you…”
“I love you…”
It would always roll off of his lips like a prayer.
His wailing soon turned into soft whimpers, which then turned into soft sniffles. What felt like an eternity of his cries piercing your ears was finally over.
He looked as though he was asleep.
Find a rock, a dark corner of your mind screamed. Find a rock that’s big enough to crush his skull in.
Killing him… that was…
Well…
You couldn’t explain it, but something about that idea just didn’t sit right with you.
Which was absolutely crazy to you; this was the guy that stalked you, broke into your house, kidnapped you, kept you in his basement for god knows how long, and tried force his twisted romantic fantasies onto you.
A psycho like him deserves to die, that dark voice reasoned with you.
But…
Maybe it was some sense of morality that was holding you back. To kill another human, well, is a crime. Leon is a piece of shit, but murdering him wouldn’t make you any better. As much as part of you thought he deserves death, you knew it wasn’t up to you to make that call. If anything, if he deserved anything, it was professional help (in a nice padded room far away from you, might you add).
Even so, the dark voice was persistent.
Kill him. He’s done nothing but make your life a living hell. He’s practically hunting you down, for fucks sake, and he won’t stop until he has you again.
And if that ever happens…
God, what would he even do to you?
↳ ༉‧₊ You found yourself in a moral dilemma.
The night was upon you, and Leon remained asleep on the riverbank.
It would be an easy kill, you mused to yourself. If you were quiet enough, you could pick up a rock, sneak up on him, and hit him as hard as you could. Over and over and over again.
But… what if he woke up? What if he managed to grab the rock from your hands, or heard you approach him to begin with? Would you win that fight? Would you be able to outrun him?
And… more importantly… would you have enough willpower to strike him in the first place?
Surely, you would, right? This man is terrible. All of your rage should be bubbling towards the surface, giving you the strength to cave his fucking face in.
But something was holding you back. You didn’t know what it was, but it somehow trumped over your anger and caused anxiety to claw at your mind.
Kill him… kill him… kill him…!!
You felt your hands trembling as you stared down at them.
I… I can’t…
It just wasn’t right. Leon was fucked up in the brain, sure, but should he really die because of it? In his sleep, no less?
It might not be right, but it might be the only way you can get the hell out of here.
Believe it or not, Puppy Obsession still is in the works… *looks at 10+ drafts* eheheh…
You may be wondering, “what’s the hold up?!” Well, on my other blog (that I deleted simply to reorder blogs/do a total makeover, meaning I archived all of my previous posts in another blog, my archives are literally in my pinned post, why are peopLE STILL ASKING—), I shit you not. I received 50+ asks regarding Puppy Obsession alone. They were all helpful suggestions on where the direction might go, but it also caused the problem of providing too many suggestions… my mind is all over the place, and I have so many ideas for where it should go, aaaaa!!
I’ve basically been testing out different ideas, literally mapping out “if I do this, then the ending might look like this,” so my Puppy Obsession drafts literally look like;
Anyway, what does this mean for the future of Puppy Obsession? Well… because there are so many directions it could go, I think this might turn into a multi-ending story. Some choose-your-own-adventure type shit. What the fuck, guys. How did one HC post turn into a this. LMAO.
So, yeah. Keep eyes out for Puppy Obsession V. It’ll be out someday.
