So i was looking at this cover for the 50th issue celebration- (Jonathan Gray is one of my favorite official Sonic artists. His art has so much whimsy.)

Do you have any headcanons about Clutch that you’d like to share, please? :)

Hmm... I don't often have head canons about characters tbh.

Though, I have often think that in his prime, he probably had lots of people in his crime network, and do like the idea of him at the head of a crime family table, and running his stomach enterprises exactly like he'd run a company.

Also, I think he's currently got something in his pocket and isn't in as helpless a situation as it looks. I won't mind if that gets proven wrong, but I have hope.

Also also! He's 100% scamming the criminals in the DC universe, trading them eggman tech they can't use in exchange for guns he can flip on Sonic's side.

Edit: Also also also, I'm not 100% convinced he's wearing a gold tie, and doesn't just have a tie shaped patch of yellow fur on his chest, but this would be very silly

Since you like Clutch, how do you feel about his known henchmen? (Surge, Kit, Mimic, and ofc his best ones: Rough and Tumble)

I love them! I really hope they add Surge and Kit to Sonic Crossworlds this year.

Rough and Tumble are classic quintessential hench people, and they've never done anything wrong ever

Mimic, Surge, and Kit don't feel like hench people to me though. Way too much agency even when they're working directly for him. I'm glad Surge and Kit are branching out on their own adventures, and I really wanna see Mimic do something similar. (when he gets over his current state of being)
