Zero reached across the bed. Cold sheets. Of course. A pleasant scent reached him. He sighed, resigned.

At least he made coffee before disappearing again.

He followed the aroma into the kitchen...

...and stopped.

Harlock stood at the stove, flipping pancakes, wearing only boxers and Zero's old Space Navy T-shirt, hanging loose on his frame.

Zero blinked.

-...You're still here.

Harlock glanced over.

- The whole city is looking to arrest me. No one would think to search your apartment for me.

Zero scoffed.

-...So you're using me?

- It's a win-win. I evade the authorities…

Harlock slid over a perfectly cooked pancake.

- …And you get breakfast.

Captain's Log

I remember when I first read this I laughed so hard at the “Why me?!” part😆

I love the thought of Zero and Harlock being a student at the same school

There are several Harlocks in the short stories written by Mr.Matsumoto, probably written before SPCH begun.

So I read one of those stories. There’s a Harlock from a colonized planet, who fought against the Earth as a rebellion. They lost in the end and all the men in the planet were either killed or castrated. Harlock was the LATTER.
