USS Enterprise
I have arrived on the Starfleet vessel I am assigned to and reported for duty.
Good grief, what an ugly thing! Orange on the bridge, yellow uniforms. Ugh. I sincerely hope I never see Lorca wearing something like this.
I've spent some time familiarizing myself with the ship's computer. A Captain Lorca disappeared after the Battle at the Binary Stars and was declared dead. There are no records of anything my Lorca ever told me, and apparently, a USS Discovery never existed.
Strange.
Damn it. I either need a higher security clearance, or someone who knows how to hack a Starfleet computer.

They're finished with me.
Since they have no way of sending me back, they've decided to integrate me into Starfleet. They want me to swear an oath. Hah. If that's all it takes. Admission to the Terran Fleet is paid for in blood.
I'm being assigned to a ship called the USS Enterprise. It's captain is a human named Pike.
I did a little digging. That ship - and its supposedly fearless captain - managed to sit out the entire Klingon War.
Fine by me.
These pampered darlings won't know what hit them.

Starfleet Headquarters
What they call Starfleet is a laughable collection of tiny little ships armed with little more than toothpicks.
They interrogated me. At least that's what they called it. Apparently, they've never heard of Agonizers, or any other effective method of persuading someone to talk.
Selling them my story was easy enough: explosion, a blast, woke up on Prior's World, no memory of what happened.
These people take themselves incredibly seriously.
But they do have nice badges.

I can picture Lorca wearing one of those.

A Ferengi trading vessel picked up my distress signal and brought me aboard.
These cutthroats are no different in this universe. They expect me to pay for my rescue! Well, they’re about to find out who they’re dealing with.
They’re taking me to something they call Starfleet Headquarters.
This should be interesting...

Day 2 in the Parallel Universe
"Thirty-six hours since Stamets' machine spat me out into the snow on Prior's World. Freezing cold, nothing to eat. And a light that drills straight through your eyes.
I found the ice cave Lorca told me about, but there's no sign of him. Maybe he ended up somewhere else this time.
Decision: I need to get off this planet."
(She takes out her communicator and activates a distress signal.)
I'm finally watching Star Trek Discovery season 5 and let me say that I'm very bisexual.
Yes, I definitely have a type... and that type is BOTH.
Stamets, get out of the wall, damn it! I need you over here.

(Paul cautiously steps out and the distortion in the wall fizzles away behind him. He has a hypospray filled with mycotoxins clamped firmly in his left hand, his right hand around the handle of his knife.)

Yes, it is possible to traverse universes, move through alternate timelines. The network of the Prototaxites Stellaviatori connects all times and places you can imagine. But more is needed than just imagination, equations and theory. You'd need the technology, which I can build. But you'd also need a navigator, someone or something that can fully grasp the vastness of the Stellaviatori's mycelial network and walk a path through it. The network is greater than any human mind can handle.
As much as it pains me, I cannot traverse it. I have met one that can, another version of me. He's an augment, part alien. I do not have access to the alien DNA he used to achieve that power.

If you did find me one of these tardigrades, perhaps I could use it as a navigator. But like I said: I don't know where to find it. And creating the technology needed to traverse universes takes quite a long time, especially when I'm working on it alone.
