Out of character,i tried star shitizen because i didn't want to play the shitty, broken mess that is Odyssey. I've discovered that alpha games are no better, and the amount of time the game has been available to the public is absolutely irrelevant.

Unfortunately, It won't be for at least the next 4-6 weeks as i am presently recovering from a rather ugly real life injury.

3307-325:  Commanders personal log, entry #2. I have flown grinds before. i have flown combat. I have flown upside down and backwards with one arm behind my back. I was not ready for the emotional weight of what I saw at Betancourt. The Defiant is set up for 32 passengers, and a far greater volume of cargo. there are more unclaimed, unidentified escape pods in my hold than I know what to do with. over the past 72 hours, I've saved 13,820 by my estimate of the 1,462,571 people aboard. it never feels like enough. it never feels right.  but after a few trips I began to feel a fire raging inside me. a fire i can only describe as coming from one loudly building emotion.  I hate the fucking Thargoids for this. And I'm gonna kill them.

3307-321:  Commander’s Personal Log, Entry #1 I got the news just as i finished loading the last of the diamonds into my hold; Betancourt Base has been attacked. Betancourt operated as a forward base during my last expedition to the Coalsack, So once I'd unloaded, I knew i had to make tracks there. The cred rescue missions offer is nice, sure, but i feel like i owe it to the folks at Betancourt to make sure i can get them out. Once that’s done, We’ll deal with giving the Thargoids their due.
