Kestrel Mk II, fitted for exploration. With no large weapons, engineered modules and an FSD booster, it has a 45ly jump range.

Like most small ships, it's great at landing in rough terrain. It has strong shields which are great for surviving high-speed collisions.

If you like exploring in small ships like the Viper Mk IV or Hauler, you should give the Kestrel a try when it leaves early access.

Got to try my HOTAS today, having fun relearning how to fly but I'm also sweating-- did the flight tutorial and only ran into things.. 3 times !

The stick and throttle are very large tho. I got tiny hands. And I've not gotten to where my movements are smooth or fast.

If I'm not sick tomorrow I am booting ED and beginning the task of learning how to properly use a HOTAS. Hyped.

me watching the biggest ED server's gen channel rn where a bunch of peope are arguing: good lord it's like the elephant's foot in there (toxic)

anyway I'm a filthy causal who only plays because I like space trucking, seeing the stars, and think the ships are hot. dunno what these folks who seem to hate the game they play and spend money on are doing. if it sucks hit the bricks!

but this is a MMO so ig I shouldn't be shocked
