partly ppl view screentime as the 'safe option' where they can view what other people have created without creating anything of their own because oh no that could create judgement. ur only gonna be building a cycle of jealousy and comparison because its only inspiration if ur on that creative level yourself and believe u can achieve that thing too eventually. maybe u dont think ur good enough because youre not moving authentically enough.

excessive social media usage is driven by insecurity and ego. of course you’ll be miserable if all you’re doing is just thinking about yourself instead of just doing the steps it takes to get to where u wanna be. and u don’t need strangers permission to do that either

going to the gym did wonders on humbling me cuz u actually gotta accept you’re not at your goal to get to the goal and like instant gratification could absolutely never do that. it kills your ego because to get where you want to be you have to look in the face of who you are and still have the self respect to keep showing up
