New York things I miss
1. No one giving a sh*t how and when you throw out your trash. Not needing to clean (yes, literally wash your garbage), gift wrap and put a ribbon on garbage, bc in New York the whole city is your garbage disposal.
2. Not getting stared at and judged as a h03 for wearing sleeveless shirts, tank tops, or shorts. (This applies mostly bc my neighborhood has a lot of elderly ppl. I’m a conservative dresser in American standards..)
3. Not needing a separate pair of clean sneakers (“inside shoes”) at the gym, in addition to the two pairs (“outside shoes,” aka regular shoes?!) that I own.
4. Barely needing cash, using my cards for everything.
5. Subways running 24/7.
6. Jaywalking.
7. Pizza, 53rd/6th Chicken & Rice, cheeeese, and giant overpriced salads.
STILL IN LOVE WITH YOU, TOKYO.
