Well, I do have to admit. After weeks of messing around with paperwork, dealing with foreign affairs and a very stressed out father. Being a future queen isn’t all a walk in a walk that it does appear on the movies.

Freya had appeared from the shadows and a slight tremor of nerves struck Christof again. Keep it cool, Christof assured himself. “Well, I wasn’t expecting to speak up until I talked to Avery.” He laughed remembering the conversation. “She really knows how to fix other people’s problems.” His eyes locked with Freya’s and he reminded himself to get to the point. “B-but, yeah, I wanted to talk,” He paused. “You know, about the party. I was into you, and then that bomb dropped with Anthony..” Christof’s voice trailed off slightly, fighting back anger towards the prince. “I just want to understand.” He finished.

Freya gave an involuntary snort of amusement, which she quickly converted into a cough, when she heard that this was all Avery's doing. Of course the manor's own agony aunt was behind this. The smile slipped from her face at the mention of Anthony, her perfect charade of nonchalance slipping with each tender moment of silence she kept Christof waiting for an answer. "Me and Tony..." She began finally, taking extra care to form the right words. "We have a very complex history and an unhealthy habit of falling back into old routines. First love, expectations of being together forever, you know?" The brunette took a deep breath and tried to steady her shaky voice. A loose thread on her dress held her attention until she directed her gaze back towards the prince. "But we're not together anymore. It was reflex that made me act the way I did at that party and i'm truly apologetic for my behavior. If it's any consolation, I really was impressed by your smoke rings. Honest."

Christof stared at the message send to Freya and swallowed the mound in his throat. He was nervous. This was new for him. Why? He didn’t know. He just wanted to get things right with Freya. Or at least try. The phone buzzed to signify a reply. They were to meet in the library. Dressing his shirtless body in a white tank, Christof headed to the library, sweaty palms and all. He entered the empty, yet silent room and took up a chair by the window and waited. Should he look busy? He contemplated picking up a book, but he heard someone enter the room.

Freya had been surprised to hear from Christof. Thankful, but surprised all the same. The way she'd acted at Tony's party was rude and she was certain that she'd ruined whatever preexisting impression he'd had of her due to her actions. Now that she had the opportunity, she was going to give him the apology he deserved and restore what ever opinions had harbored his attention in the first place. Stopping outside the library, Freya took a moment to bury her nerves and curiosity. Once finally happy, she entered the room to find it unsurprisingly near empty and the Swedish prince sat over by the window. "I wasn't expecting to hear from you." She said, sliding into the seat across from him.
