The emotions in this project I was working with were: anger and sadness. I wanted to show the different stages of anger and how, when you push someone too far drastic things may happen without thinking about the consequences. I wanted to show the transition between anger and feeling sad. I showed this through the big brother in my comic, getting annoyed with the little brother and then slowly getting even angrier and then taking drastic measures. But when these measures are taking he realises that he regrets them. This shows the transition between anger and sadness.
My comic starts when the little brother arrives home from school, he is happy to be home and see his older brother because he is a role model to him. When the little brother is home he hears cries of anger coming from his older brother bedroom. Investigating these cries, little brother scares his older brother. Since the older brother is already angry, he takes some of this anger out on his little brother. The little brother looks up to his older brother so much that he doesn’t realise that he is very angry at this point. He continues to anger him, and at this point the older brother is infuriated. He takes matters into his own hands and pushes his younger brother. Up on pushing him, he comes to realise that this wasn’t the right thing to do and that he does care about him. After this realisation the younger brother scares him one more time.
When trying to portray these emotions on the web focused on the interaction for the user and mainly on displaying the emotions. I wanted to tell the user how anger the older brother gets through interaction.
