hey since my hilda is heavily canon divergent & re-written here are some facts:
she was completely obsessed with tattoos in her youth, she’s covered in them even if she has learned to hide them throughout the years. she taught herself how to tattoo after she had left home.
she traveled the world for the longest time. saw places she wouldn’t have if she had stayed at home with her family & she adored it. everything is written down in journals she has stacked away in the attic.
she has slept with the archangel Gabriel, shared a room with vlad the impaler, was at queen victoria’s coronation, hanged as a witch in salem only to come back to scare the living daylights out of people.
on her travels, she met fang, hemo and clammy. three vampires that called themselves ‘the bat pack’ they immediately became really good friends & hilda proceeded to almost get married to fang.
she & fang had a daughter named Rosalie Zelda Spellman. she was killed when she was around nine without any of her parents managing to save her life.
her familiar is named Arachne & is a very large spider. she’s very protective & isn’t far away from hilda. one of her abilities is also to change form to become hundreds of smaller spiders.
in her travels, she has met witches from hundreds of different cultures & beliefs. when they have accepted her, as a friend, she has been taught their magic. hilda has knowledge of so many potions, curses, blessings & everything in between.
the first time hilda died at the hands of zelda was during her harrowing. it had been an accident but it left a rather deep trauma in her. instead of staying to finish her education at the academy, she left to go live with her aunts in england, where she lived out the best years of her life.
like in the comics, she can turn into a huge spider. its one of the few powers she keeps to herself but has used in time of crisis.
one of her powers is also resurrection, basically, she can rise from the dead without the pit but no one knows that.
she’s not as understanding of sabrina’s stunts, in fact, she’s as harsh as zelda is about it. the powers sabrina has been playing with is something that should never be touched & she doesn’t accept her behavior.
she agrees to come to church, however, she doesn’t practice their faith. once she did but not after she had been out in the world to see how other coven worked.
she has an underlying despise towards zelda for a long time, especially when she was younger. she never understands how she can so casually kill her & be cruel towards her.
she & zelda doesn’t share bedrooms, hilda refused.
she’s very in need of revenge. she was bullied when she was young at the academy & she really wants most people to suffer in one way or another.
she isn’t a fan of edward, never have been, never will be.
plant room is her “leave me the fuck alone” room. if you come inside you’re most likely to have a spider attached to your face trying to eat you.
ambrose was dumped at her place in england by vesta years before. however she treats him like a son & adores him.
she wanted sabrina to live with diana’s family, it would be safer for her but she never spoke up about that opinion.
in the end of season two she feels like everyone is rather ungrateful about the things she does for the family, the coven & everyone else. basically, she returns to england until ambrose calls her back when the pagans arrive.
