Been a while since I’ve posted so here’s an update on my life. Haven’t really done much besides work but I did get to see a few friends.

On Friday it was my brother’s birthday! We celebrated with cake and more cake on the weekend that my cousin baked herself. Turned out really nice for her first time baking a layered cake in my opinion! :’)

This morning I had dim sum with my grandparents and mom! It’s been forever since I’ve had dim sum. Later in the evening I went out with a couple friends and finally had our long overdue wings date! It wasn’t St. Louis like our usual but I was still satisfied tbh. We grabbed Chatime before heading home. The weather’s been so on and off lately. Going between cold and hot and sunny and rainy all in one day! I hope it warms up soon, I’m ready for summer. I’m tired of having to wear a jacket out LOL.

On Monday, I spent the day with my mom, we went to the mall and chilled for a bit. It’s been a while since I’ve had a day out with her. Although I had horrible cramps, I still enjoyed my time spent with her. I always wish there were more of those days like how it was back when I was a kid but work schedules always clash :(

Today I donated to Red Cross to support Fort McMurray. I also decided I should do a good deed a day. Even started a blog for that.

Happy Mother’s Day!!!

Unfortunately I didn’t get to spend this day with my mom and mom’s side of the family as we do annually because I had to work. But, I’m glad I still got to go to my aunt’s after work and have dinner. It was short but nice seeing them.

Pretty quiet day at work today.

Whew, it’s been a long day! Worked 5pm-close today and ended up leaving at 1:10am. Luckily my cousins were able to drive me so I didn’t have to bus home. That would’ve been scary. I would’ve taken the subway but there were subway closures especially since it’s a weekend. Anyways, I finally met my other coworkers. I just have one more to meet next week. First experience of a Saturday business day and it was pretty hectic already, probably could’ve been much worse though. First time closing myself, I hope everything went well. We’ll just have to wait and see tomorrow since I’ll be going in for a shift tomorrow as well. Sad I can’t spend Mother’s Day with family though :(

I’m glad yesterday I was off and didn’t have plans. First time since I moved back that I had the day all to myself and I can tell you it felt great! Everyone always needs “me” time and time to relax. Work schedules gonna be more hectic starting next week.

05/05/16 Today I went out with a friend from school. We had Kinton ramen, then we went to Allan Gardens. It was beautiful! I just wish the lighting was a little better. Didn't realize it was so close to the downtown area too. Our day at the garden turned into a shopping trip. We didn't spend as much time as I thought we would've at the garden. We proceeded to head over to the mall and hung out around there for a bit. Afterwards, I headed over to work. #summer2016

05/04/16 Update: we ended up not going to the cafe we wanted to. Turns out I had my addresses all wrong haha.. But we still went to Millie Pattiserie and had their Matcha crepe cake, more bitter than I was expecting but not bad. We also had gelato there. It was interesting. Instead of going to the cafe, we ended up just getting ramen at Sansotei! And carried on with our day shopping :) Of course I had to take a pic of the CN Tower when I had such a nice view of it. Tourist in my own city. #summer2016

Yesterday at work, I was trained to do administrative stuff, cash, opening and closing - much different than the whole running up and down stairs all day on my Sunday shift. Slowly getting used to everything. After work, we went out to St. Louis for half off wings. It’s been so long since I’ve had their wings. It was super busy though because of the basketball game. It was nice seeing everyone though.

Today, I’m going with a friend to try Millie Patisserie and Fahrenheit Coffee. I’m so excited for both! Updates on these places later tonight. I think I might make it a goal to try as many cafes as I can this summer. Making this summer all about adventures and exploring as much as possible, hopefully!

It’s May! and the weather is getting warmer, yay!

Yesterday I had my first official shift at work and it wasn’t as bad as I thought initially. I’m starting to get the hang of everything, still forgetting some things though but I hope that won’t be for long.

Had my annual eye exam today and left eye got better. I never understood how that worked but whatever! I’m thinking about getting new glasses. I need a new look, I’ve had these glasses for three years now and I’m getting tired of them. They’re still in pretty good condition though... Sigh and glasses are so expensive, especially because my prescription is pretty high. What to do.

Now that May has come, I also gotta start studying again. Still a little discouraged but you know what they say, never give up.

Lunch and ice cream with fave today. Had Waterhouse poutine, perogies, crispy Mac n’ cheese and Baja fish tacos. Loved the perogies! Tacos were good too but very messy to eat. Also had their pink lemonade and sour key cocktails. The wait to get seated was about 15 mins but the wait for food was much longer :( Headed to Sweet Jesus for ice cream but stopped by Michael’s first. Waited about 40 mins for ice cream but was worth it but I think it’s just a one time thing for me! Got red rapture and krusty the kone. That was alot of ice cream for me in one sitting haha. My cake pieces kept falling too, which attracted pigeons -_- Good seeing her after two months though! :’)

Since I’ve got back, I think I’ve seen almost everyone I want to so far. Just a few more people I wanna see soon though!

After searching for a job for so long during exam season, I finally had an interview yesterday (27th) and got hired! Much thanks to my friend. I’m pretty nervous about it still.

Been a while since I’ve posted. Here’s an update on my life. Exams finished this past weekend, my last one was Saturday morning and after that I moved back. My exams didn’t go so well, I’m not really satisfied with my marks this term. It’s time to bring them up next year :(

It’s officially summer break now :)

Academics aside, my family from the USA were over this weekend so I spent my weekend with them. It was great to see them again, especially catching up with my cousins. Seeing them once a year is definitely not enough, I wish I could see them more often.
