Is this blog still active? xD Hello, Chris! What was your favorite BTS experience while working on Tangled the Series?
It might be an easy way out of this question, but I really loved collaborating with so many amazing writers, artists, musicians, singers, and voice talent. I started in this industry wanting to be an animator but my career has given me the opportunity to be more than just that and I’ve loved learning from and working with so many great and giving people.
Apparently one of the writers said a while back that whatever was on Qurins note was important. I found it weird how they said this when it only said that Quirin was proud of Varian. That didn't seem important at all. It didn't even have a large role in Varians redemption arc because he was already redeemed at that point.
It was Chris Sonnenburg who said it was important.
The information, at the time, had some plot information about the brotherhood yadda yadda, that we may have needed to put off until he was let out, but when we actually GOT to the moment, the ONLY thing that seemed important was their relationship. This show IS about plot and mythology and mechanics, but the most important things are the emotional turns. And we all just decided, as any parent would at that moment, to focus on their emotional story and I stand by that decision. ❤️
Which movie call-back was in the latest episode?
When Pascal was instructing Ruddiger on the log, it was a parallel of:
“Head down!”“Head down!”“Arms in!”“Arms in!”“Knees apart!”“Knees apar– knees apart?”
in season 1 and 2 of Tangled, we are left with more questions than answers. In season 3 will we have all/most of the questions answered or will it just all end with unanswered questions that we will forever wonder about
You will just have to tune in and find out. Oh, and tell a few friends to tune in as well!

Now I'm 23 and I love the show. The show helps me a lot because I struggle with anxiety and depression and it really helps me when I'm feeling down. It's a lifesaver to me. Why “Filler” Episodes Are Not Filler
One of the biggest complaints that I’ve seen Tangled the Series/Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure get is that there’s too many filler episodes and not enough plot. The thing is, you never know when an episode is going to be relevant later.
Imagine that the whole series is a movie. Each episode is a moment stretched out. Like, imagine if the original movie was a series, and the whole Snuggly Duckling scene had been a whole episode instead of a seven minute scene. It wouldn’t have been a dramatic episode. It would have been a fun, silly episode that still moved the plot forward, but in a small, subtle way. It might seem “pointless” and “filler” at the time, but then it makes sense in context when the Pub Thugs show up to break Eugene out of prison at the end.
Just because you can’t see why an episode was made doesn’t mean it isn’t going to matter later. A lot of the series’ foreshadowing isn’t visible until after you’ve seen where it’s going, then go back and rewatch. Varian was broadcast as the villain, but only if you knew to look for it. With the exception of the very end of “Great Expotations,” that episode seems a lot like “filler,” but it’s establishing Varian’s character and personality, to make his later turn more impactful.
So don’t dismiss the episodes that you think have nothing to do with the plot, because you actually never know when something is going to make sense later.
I don't know if you're actually able to answer this so just ignore me if you can't, I'll understand completely, but I was curious if Hector calling Adira his sister was just because of the whole brotherhood thing or if they were actually related by blood?
I believe it’s safe to say that him referring to her as “sister” referred to the bond they shared being part of “The Brotherhood”.
Quick question for "Rapunzel and the Great Tree" (which was AMAZING btw!!!): What species are Hector's twin animal companions? Are they wolverines? Some type of badger? I'm just curious. ^^

Personally, I love how the whole song is a long, extended musical theater metaphor! And it’s so good that Eden could include it on her next solo album (if she could get the rights to).

Where did Cass get her cape thing at the end?
Amongst the rubble, just like the armor. (Just cause we didn’t see it in that one shot doesn’t mean it wasn’t there.)
This is a question that keeps coming up so I will just say one thing about it. We knew (of course) that Cassandra would need protection over her arm moving forward and also wanted her to grow visually. So if you look closely, the hall they walked through before entering the incantation/scroll room was lined with many suits of armor. We wanted to assume that armor was part of the debris left by the fallen tree. And that’s where Cass found the pieces of her new costume. I hope this clears up the “Where’d all that armor come from?!” question.

So, I can shed some additional light on this. Yes, I wanted Tara’s hand to unite the writing between the journal entries we had in the show and Rapunzel’s note to Stalyan. But I also wanted people who had Rapunzel’s signature in an autograph book to recognize it as well. SO I call upon a good friend of mine who was “friends” with Rapunzel in Florida to help me with her specific signature. Using hers as a guide, I ultimately redrew it myself as well as the “Stalyan” at the top. WHAT A FUN TEAM EFFORT! THANK YOU TARA! Viva details!!!
