Work has me in front of a screen, but my mind is elsewhere. No matter how much I try to concentrate, the thoughts creep in - that deep, insatiable craving to have a little to care for. To nurture, guide, comfort, and protect someone who needs it. It’s more than distraction, it’s a pull I feel in my chest, and sometimes it’s overwhelming in the best way.
