"You need to maybe talk to your mother, yourself." Daryn says, then adds. "Or perhaps, your father? he should be able to help you understand your feelings."

Arthur nods, "I trust you, Leora. I just want to cover my ass with this is all." he said in a softer tone.

"I'll... Sit down with all my parents." He thought out loud, wringing his hands. "Maybe this is also part of the kitsune in me?"

"Maybe remind them that I get highly unstable when family or friends are threatened. And I take insults as threats, because it breaks someone mentally." Leora took a few breaths to calm herself. "I think they're newbies."

Toki watched them walk inside.

Aishna shrugged, "I mean... we could. Seeing as you're a bit freaked out."

"Oh, good." The tension left Lius' body, relief that he wouldn't be home alone.

Esme smiled and rubbed her thumb over Lius' knuckles.

Daryn's brow raised. "Really?"

Arthur raised a brow as he looked up curiously at the growl that came from one of his doctors. "Leora?" His tone was one of a stern father, but cautious, as if he was willing to let her continue.

"Yeah." Ignis hesitantly looked up at Daryn after fidgeting with his hands. He was shy, not usual for the boy.

"Firstly, the woman is Aka, Orpheus' niece. She is only trying to find Orpheus and the Agents frightened her. You know how scared anomalies are, defensive, aggressive, etc." Leora said with an aggravated sigh, sitting down. "As for her guards, they were breaking rules and chatting... Not chatting, excuse my language, but they were shit-talking about Aka. That's not very welcoming, if you ask me. Completely against the guidelines."

Her fists clenched, tail swishing still. "I won't stand for their behavior, sir. With all due respect, if you don't do something about it, and they continue, I might snap and it won't be pretty." She warned. She wasn't threatening him, but just a warning that she might lose control.

Daryn nodded, "you know, that I should inform your mother about this." He said softly.

Arthur straightened in his chair at Leora's words. "You are correct, and I will get right to that. It wasn't Kenji's squad, was it? It doesn't sound like his men.." he stop and walked around his desk to look down at her. "Orpheus.. isn't that the anomaly that came to murder someone and you took in and married? His niece?"

"I know..." Ignis looked at his lap. He was dreading his mother knowing, but he knew she wouldn't freak out about it. It was more like he was afraid of her worrying that the woman was going to be a bad influence.

"Wasn't Kenji's squad. They'd know to keep their mouths shut." Leora muttered. She flushed a bit at the description of Orpheus. "You make it sound like I married a criminal... He passed all the rehabilitation tests. But yes, the woman is Aka. Orpheus often mentioned her. He had to raise her after his brother... died." She frowned realizing just how much Aka must be scared and concerned for her uncle. "She wants to see him. She promised that afterwards she'd cooperate."

Daryn thought about the situation. "I will keep this quiet, for now. But.. on one condition.."

Arthur nodded. "You will vouch that they will not destroy my assets and staff?" He knew he could trust Leora, but he needed her to understand there still were procedures to go through. He moved across the office and opened one of the drawers of a filing cabinet and slipped out a piece of paper. He brought it over and handed it to her, she already had a pen so that was easy. "Sign this and you can bring Orpheus in to help you calm her down."

"What's the condition?" Ignis looked up.

"I promise they won't destroy anything at all." Leora nodded once. "Orpheus would be devastated if I was upset, and he knows I enjoy this building and the people in it." She signed the paper. "And he won't allow Aka to step out of line."

Toki watched as Aishna pulled into Lius' driveway and he smirked.

Aishna smirked and turned off the car. "Good. So don't forget that, ever." He said and left the car and dramatically made his way to her side and bowed while he held his hand out to her, after opening the door.

Lius slipped the knife into his pocket and walked out of his room, hearing the engine cut from the car. He knew he was most likely safe now. He recognized Aishna's car engine, as well as his parents' car engine. He almost tripped down the stairs.

"You're the royalty, but you're bowing to me." She laughed. "Is it because I have demigoddess in my blood?" She took his hand and got out of the car.

Toki rolled his eyes as he watched his friends.

Aishna shook his head and laughed "it's because I was trying to be theatrical." He moved to close the door after she got out. "Come on. I bet Lius is waiting for us."

Lius ran out the front door and threw himself into Aishna's arms, clinging to the poor boy.

Esme blinked at Lius. "Oh boy.." She frowned. "Are you alright?" She asked Lius, brushing his hair out of his face.

"Just glad to see you both.." He relaxed at Esme's touch. Aishna could feel how fast his heart was pounding.

Toki tensed as he saw Lius jump into Aishna's arms and how Esme touched him too. His jealousy spiked high but he stayed put.

Aishna smirked and hugged Lius. "Let's get inside, Babyboy, come on." He carefully set him down and ushered them inside.

"She had hope." Lily hummed. "It's quite a powerful thing. It brought me back to you. Well.. The embodiment of hope." She giggled.

Niko moved to lean his head against Lily's belly, despite it being another man's child, he felt like it's father anyway. "What do I do?" Was all he asked, softly.

"Take care of her, what else?" Lily played with his hair, gently brushing her fingers through the knots. "Take her under your wing, Luci.."

Niko closed his eyes, "you will allow it?"

"Yes, of course." She nodded. "You would have done the same.."

Toki chuckled and spoke into the changer "you're smart.. been watching documentaries of weirdos like me?" He shifted and shoved the mask into his back pocket. "Maybe I will show up..." He spoke into the changer and hung up.

Aishna moved to lean across the center console between the seats and smirked as he cupped her cheek and made her look at him as he pressed his lips to hers. "I'll make it up to you soon." He whispered against her lips before he sat back and turned the car on.

Lius pulled the maine coon into his lap and stayed on the floor. He was content staying behind the kitchen island. He pet Mischief and relaxed as he purred against his stomach. "Breathe, Aurelius..." He whispered to himself.

Esme blinked and flushed red, stunned. "I hate you." She looked out the window, trying to hide her flushed cheeks, but her ears were flushed too.

Toki grabbed his blackest unmarked big hoodie and slipped it over his head, it was long enough to cover the lump in his back pocket. He then climbed out his bedroom window and used his ability to turn into mist and make his way towards Lius' house.

Aishna smirks and drives off towards Lius' house. "But.. you love me" he coos, while he pays attention to the road.

Lius peaked out from behind the island to check the glass door. He relaxed and sat back against the cabinet, taking a deep breath. He needed to relax before he accidentally induced a shift.

Esme grumbled at him. "Yeah, yeah," She watched the trees and buildings pass by. She couldn't wait to hang out with Lius without the worry of doing something that his mother wouldn't like.

Toki formed in the darkness by the house outside, out of sight and slipped the mask on and put the hood up again. He watched the house and waited for Aishna and Esme to show.

Aishna giggled, "hey... I thought you enjoyed my kisses."

Lius crawled to the stairs and wandered up them. He stayed low and crawled to his room. It was something his mother had taught him. Stay small and low, less noticeable. Once he got to his room, he shut the door and relaxed. He sent a shadow tendril to check the lock on his window while he searched for the blade his grandma gifted him.

"Fiiiine! I do. I like your stupid kisses." Esme rolled her eyes playfully. "And your stupidly cute face."

Aka nodded, "yes.. please."

"Uncle, stop smirking..." Ignis groaned in annoyance, covering his face. "Why are you smirking??"

Leora nodded and smiled. "I will be back, don't worry." She grabbed the clipboard and left the cell. She glared at the guards. "You best keep your mouth shut about my niece." She growled when the door closed.

Daryn chuckled "Ignis, is this pull... Stronger than the one you mentioned before about your Ex, Alex?"

Aka perked up as she heard the doctor growl. A small smirk forming on her face.

"Yes." Ignis nodded slowly. "Why?"

Leora's tail had appeared and was swishing behind her in an irritated matter while she walked off to the General's office. She was muttering about how disrespectful the guards were. She knocked on the general's door.

Daryn nodded slightly and hummed "is there anything else you want to tell me?"

Arthur was at his desk, reading papers and filing them away in folders. "Come in"

"There's just.. something about her. I don't even know her name I feel like I've known her forever, like that's where I'm meant to be." Ignis' voice was quiet.

"Sir, I have a report about the hostile shadow demon we recently brought in." Leora said confidently, tail still swishing irritatedly behind her. "Also a behavior report on the guards posted outside her cell." It came out in a small growl.

I had this feeling.. like I created something that day.. and I half expected to see you pregnant or with a child when you came back to me like a year later.. but I had forgotten about it.. though it was still deep in there.." Niko moved his hand to his chest over his heart "I knew.. but doubted it because you never had my kids before Alex..." Niko was looking off into space.

Al nodded.

"Hey, I love you." Lily said firmly, snapping her fingers in front of his face. "Always have, always will. Are you finished telling me about that night?"

Niko blinked and looked up at her. He had tears in his eyes still. "So.. you aren't mad at me? That girl is ... Mine.. I can feel it.."

"I'm not mad." Lily hummed, frowning. "You don't remember? Or did I never tell you that I almost had a child with that... monster?"

Niko slowly nods "yeah.. I remember.. but it's different with that.. I knew you had other children.. when you were still with Adam in the beginning. That didn't bother me... But it bothers me that since the moment me and you began our first relationship together.. centuries ago.. I have never been with anyone else.. I never wanted anyone else.. so how did this.. one lower creature manage to do it?" He whispers, it was obvious he knew it was because he was in a weak state of mind when it happened. "I never wanted to hurt you like that..."

"You thought it was me. You craved for it to be me." Lily smiled softly. "Luci, I'm not mad because I know you. I know you would never do something like that on purpose. I have a feeling this daughter of yours only sought you out because her mother doesn't care for her like a mother should."
