I’m still amazed by how many people don’t know what’s going on with Tumblr and don’t know what’s about to happen to a lot of their favorite artists here.

If you like someone’s art; you must follow them somewhere else lest you lose touch forever.

Most artists like me are having their follower count SHREDDED.

To be perfectly transparent: I have 11k followers on this account and most other accounts I have 1k or less.

That’s how many people are choosing NOT to follow artists like myself on other platforms (even SFW platforms) or even on my alt Tumblr that only has 300 of you there.

It’s extremely distressing and depressing for so many of us to have to start from scratch because of a law most all politicians in the U.S. fell for.

The latest drama with tumblr (about the search not working for posts with links), made me finally mention this. 

I actually don’t know if the search have ever spread me around, but with how invisible I feel and the fact I don’t have an audience after all this time (I do have individuals though, and I appreciate those royal bad bitches), I doubt it’ll affect me.

It MAY affect my peers though. And that sucks.

So just a little mention: If you like an artist: reblog them. “Likes”…I actually don’t see how they’re useful on tumblr/ twitter.  They increase the “note” numbers so folk can think something is “popular”, but they don’t draw in new eyes/ potential support like that reblog.

So, If you don’t commission an artist /ain’t a patreon member, but you appreciate their work: hit that reblog button for them. Otherwise…it’s just not real. Reblogging/retweeting is the poor person’s support, and ain’t any shame in that (i’m with that ilk too!)!

No money to commission, no $1/month to patreon, but want to show love? Reblog the artist. Monetary support isn’t the only way to support: it is THE BEST way to support: hands down, no question. But SECOND to that is word of mouth, such as reblogging. When ya can’t give $$ yourself, ya can help spread word of the artist existence to those who CAN give said $$.
