Headcanons for Cogman?
HAPPILY
I love Cogman, he's so silly.
• Class of minibot. Now this was never confirmed or denied within Bayverse (I think, can't get ahold of the comics), as he could've simply mass shifted/displaced, but I like to believe that he, in fact, is some form of minibot. They come in all shapes and sizes, he just happens to be four feet tall and full of catastrophic levels of rage. It's good for everyone else that he's only that tall. He'd do more than snap Crosshair's digit.
* Adding onto that, it's possible he was larger, yes. On Cybertron, it's very likely all the bots were larger (they all just shifted to better suit the Earth). But, I imagine the human-sized adaptation was something he preferred... Given he was going to be living around humans, after all.
• Opera is a passion, he just uses his abilities at inappropriate moments. It annoys the hell out of human companions, but he likes being cheeky here and there.
• Rom-com enjoyer. If he got to sit down and watch TV? You bet your ass he's watching a romantic comedy. He'll laugh to the point he can't see straight, then recalibrate his optics so he can continue watching. And yes, he has cried over some of them. Blamed his processor units, but that was solely him.
• Knight in shining armor mindset goes heavy with him. He loves the fictional demonstration of knights rather than historical accuracy.
• More tolerance for humans than other Cybertronians. This only applies to people who are good at driving, otherwise, road rage.
• Sir Edmund can't take him anywhere. Not that he's a bad guy or anything, he is just a traffic violation waiting to happen. And yes, for some reason, if he is allowed out, he will be the one driving.
• Cogman decided on the older, "out dated" look himself. His Cybertronian form is more sleek, but he liked the aesthetic appeal of being steampunk, in a sense. And also, he had every excuse just to slide into display armor. He is a lover of theatrics.
• Nobody knows where he found sustainable Energon for all the years he was on Earth. It's hard to say, though he most likely opted for Earthly substitutes that had just enough nutrition to keep him going. Variations of oil and other fluids. On the occasion he found Energon, he likely savored it.
Or, really, be might've had a shit ton stored in his stasis pod and just hid it around.
• Definitely the "grabs his pearls" at every minor inconvenience. He'll cast an arm over his face, and fall backwards onto a couch. Sir Edmund has seen it many times, and grew used to it. The first time it happened in front of other company? They weren't sure how they were supposed to feel about the loyal butler... Or Headmaster, rather, flopping around.
• Really only gets super theatric in front of those he knows.
• Would love theatre. Probably watches musicals. Depending on what year, he'll consume whatever musical media he can. And yes, he knows most word-for-word. The songs at least, who is really there for speaking bits?
• Collection of old trinkets. Has a shit ton stashed away in his own private chambers. Usually goes for the rarest antiques he can find.
• Not just a Rom-com enjoyer, he loves soap operas. They're just a fascinating watch for him. He likes trying to tie the ends together before the show does... And yes, he sticks around for the melodramatics.
