“This is a serious topic so I’m not adding subtitles!” You sound so stupid oh my god subtitles are NOT just for decoration they are an accessibility tool!!!!! If you usually add subtitles to your videos but you stop for “serious topic” videos you are NOT treating the topic with more gravity by doing so, all you are doing is making it harder for disabled people to engage in the discussions you want to have about serious topics!! Disabled people are capable of being serious!!!

If “this is a serious meeting so we’re holding it on the third floor of this building with no ramps or elevators!!” sounds ridiculous to you, then “no subtitles, this is serious topic” should sound ridiculous too!!!

If “This is a serious sign so we are not adding braile” sounds ridiculous to you, then “turn your volume up. No subtitles bc this is serious” should sound ridiculous too!!!

I’ve seen several videos like this recently and in one of them they were actually talking about ableism and I rolled my eyes so hard because how are you going to talk about ableism as a serious issue and then say because it is serious it’s somehow innapropriate to give disabled people good access to the content of your video by adding subtitles???

Last Flight | Among Us Show AU

A few shots from the Among Us Show animatic I’ve been making for the intro of my AU! I’ve been binge reading fanfics and fan comics about the Among Us Show, specifically ideas of the crewmates as ghosts, or other characters like Purple or Red becoming imposters, and wanted to try my hand on making an AU that I’m dubbing the Last Flight AU. Most of the events from the show remain the same, up until Purple confronts Imposter Green unarmed. Red arrives just a bit too late and has to fend off the imposter alone, or so they think.

The ghosts of the dead learn they still have the ability to interact with their surroundings and use this ability to help Red get rid of the imposter. Red returns to Industria, not knowing they’re being followed by their entire dead crew. To their surprise, Mira decides to send Red on one last mission before they’re fired, not as a pilot, but a security guard. They don’t publicize the deaths of the crew members, nor mention Red’s involvement. Upon boarding, Red realizes the crew is made of a mix of other Amongi that also claim to have encountered aliens, and former friends and relatives of Red’s old crew. The crew set off towards their destination and Red begins counting down the days they have left working for Mira while trying to hide their guilt whenever some of the crew try to ask about their missing friends/family. Meanwhile the ghosts check on the new ship and crew. Maybe this trip won’t be as bad as the last one, right? Right?

I’m planning on just dropping a few things about the AU here and there but won’t really write a full story about it so I can focus on just having fun with it.

We need more transgender activists and influencers (and leftists in general) to talk more about intersex rights. They are often also hurt by the laws and propaganda targeting trans people, and laws that ban gender affirming care for trans people often make exceptions for intersex IGM and forcing hormone therapy. And this isn't even mentioning that up to 75% of intersex people are also trans or nonbinary. I don't understand how you can fight for trans rights, gender affirming care, or bodily autonomy and not fight for intersex rights.

I hate how often allos will accuse you of attacking them for telling them to stop doing something. They'll pick apart your response to being sexualized a million times before they consider why they view it as their right to sexualize you. They'll pick apart your response to the assumption that you'll partner a million times before they consider why they think romance is mandatory. They'll pick apart your response to the "jokes" they keep making about how you're secretly attracted to your friends a million times before they consider why they can't view friendships as affectionate. And they just don't fucking care whether or not they upset you, it's all about how you respond to that upset. An allo could tell me to kill myself if I don't want a relationship (something I've actually been told before btw) and if my response is anything other than a calmly worded essay explaining why that's wrong to say to someone, then I'm a heartless monster biting people's heads off for being a little silly.
