I originally planned to make two pieces for this theme, but my patience wore thinner and thinner as I worked. The second sketch just didn’t turn out well, so I scrapped it entirely. I was eager to move on to drawing alt-style portrait sketches for practice anyway.

This artwork was inspired by a movie poster, which gave me the vibe of embracing something intangible and out of reach. Nulla’s expression wasn’t this calm and composed at first. I kept wondering how he’d actually act in such a scenario. After thinking it over repeatedly, I decided he’d choose to face me with his most gentle, put-together self. Still trying to fully understand this character.

This video fits Unum so perfectly that I rushed to finish this artwork in just two hours… I originally planned to play Yan Yun Sixteen Sounds, but all those plans fell through. Still, the match is absolutely flawless!

Hmm… I’m not Japanese, so I couldn’t wrap my head around why everyone kept mentioning this reference at first. It only clicked after listening to this song — the Japanese words for "like" (suki) and "moon" (tsuki) sound nearly identical.

This song feels like a perfect fit. I’ve excerpted a portion of the lyrics. I’m not sure if there are any deeper connotations in the original, but the Chinese translation has its own distinctive charm.

I originally planned to draw Nulla wearing Hanfu alongside me, but this aesthetic doesn’t quite suit him. It might just be my own design flaw as well.

I revamped the draft into this version instead to avoid wasting the sketch.

Now this foreign gentleman will simply admire me dressed beautifully in Hanfu instead.
