Question for the jampires AU if you don't mind answering. what is shadow milks reason for keeping pure vanilla alive if he's there to kill him? If you can't answer now, will we get the answer to this question later in the comic?

Shadow Milk is very very old, and he’s dealt with many hunters in his life. Perhaps something about Pure Vanilla caught his interest for once :)

Jampire AU Content Warnings

Ahead of Jampire Chapter 1 on Tuesday, I wanted to include some content warnings for the AU! I’ll be including text cws on chapters they apply to, but I include these for the story as a whole so everyone can feel comfy about whether they’d like to follow the series or not <3

Jampires is a horror story at its core! I know I’ve largely done fluffy light hearted comics previously (Jambound, etc,.) so I want to set expectations. There will certainly be cute moments, flirting, etc! But, due to smilk’s identity, it is all under false pretense

At the end of the day, PV thinks he’s in a gothic romance where he saves a reclusive Lord from a big scary monster, while smilk knows it’s closer to Hannibal With Vampires. Please keep that in mind! <3

If you have any concerns about the content of the comic, feel free to message me and I can share more detailed warnings and where they will appear! Very excited to share this story with everyone, so making sure everyone is comfy is my top priority <3

This might be random and I’m sorry if it bothers you but do you have any advice on when you have art block 😅

Art block is tough for sure! My job requires me to be able to power through art/creative block since it’s. A job yaknow lol

BUT that’s taught me some methods to help out! If I’m working on a project that’s stressing me out, instead of banging my head against a wall I switch to something else. I find drawing my OCs based on outfit or pose references I find easy and relaxing. I sometimes doodle funny interactions or chibi doodles. Sometimes I’m just in the mood to draw headshots over and over.

Or just draw something entirely different! Draw a lizard. Right now. Pull up a picture of a dumb looking lizard and draw a silly doodle of them. Or a bird so fat it’s basically a circle with a face. Or draw as if you’re a kid and make a silly tree with a sun with sunglasses in the corner. Just anything that’s silly and fun and no pressure!

I have quite a few more that I’m uploading slowly but surely! One more Jambound comic, then a bunch of small misc drawings/mini comics! They’re all uploaded on twitter, but I’ll definitely be adding them here too eventually

do you have a plan for how many comics the jampire series will be? or will it be more of an ongoing thing?

Right now the jampire comic that will be releasing soon is one contained story within the larger AU! It was originally written as a stand-alone oneshot to introduce the au then spiraled into a big project in its own right lol

We definitely have many many ideas for how the larger story will progress (Truthless arc is gonna be FUN), and if people enjoy this comic, I have other moments in the story I’d love to draw too!

Jampire Teaser Before/After!

So the teaser I posted before, I drew like a year ago before I had everything figured out in the script lol

But, the project’s had a big visual upgrade since then (and I’ve also improved a bit I think hehe) so I wanted to share the current style of the comic!
