Ok so this is more just a connection buletein board for my own later reference:
The Red eyes of Bloodfiends is due to Blood or more likely Vitae (Vampire blood) welling in the eyes themselves. We see this mentioned in above section.
We also know that there is an instinctual reaction had to the Eyes of the Kindred(s). Cassette Tape knows Sancho is a second kindred, Lighthouse Sancho knows that Veggie carries the eyes of a First Kindred
Note on Veggie, he is not a bloodfiend to all current knowledge, with his eyes explicitly both being combat implants AND those of a first kindred, this too implies that the eyes of a bloodfiend (and by proxy their Vitae) is the source of their strength.
See above too, Quixote is able to discern the house (which we can assume to be analogous to family/bloodline until stated otherwise) of a kindred by an eye alone.
Quixote makes a comment about the sweepers possessing "[a] scent of blood" which she makes a note before avoiding.
as of the bokgak of Nocturnal Sweeping, we have recieved sweeper lore through their announcer.
Notable additions from the announcer:
Sweepers are separated by district seemingly and have numerous "Families" within said district, referring to each other as "Neighbours" and to the Sweepers (of district 8(?)) as a collective as "Families"
As we can tell, what seems to be the case is there are numerous (very numerous) numbers of Sweeper "Dens" so to say, each of which they refer to as a "family" and any/all sweepers within the district are considered Neighbours to each other.
The sweeper announcers refer to "The Mother" or simply "Mother" as a single entity, implying that the sweepers, either of the district or city as whole (due to L corp sweepers too referring to what we can assume is the same "mother") are in some manner the children of this "mother".
Despite that, we know that sweepers are created (made?) by the recruitment particularly of children in the Backstreets and outskirts. Some part of the Sweepers' creation involves "embracing" a human into the family.
See above the mention that their scent of blood is weak, and the constant reference to "Family" reminiscent of the Bloodfiends we have seen in past.

Note that the Body of the sweeper itself is the red fuel they carry in their tanks. See above note about the "essence" of the Bloodfiend being carried in their Vitae through their eyes.
