Calling all high school writers!

If you’re a fan of The Adroit Journal, you’ll love this awesome opportunity. (The Adroit Journal, by the way, was started by a super talented young poet when he was just a sophomore in high school and has featured the works of some of the greatest writers of our time, including Jeanann Verlee, the late Ned Vizzini, and Dorianne Laux.)

This summer they’re hosting a free, online creative writing summer mentorship program.

Applications to the program will remain open until May 15, 2015. This year, applications will be accepted for the poetry, fiction, dramatic script, and journalism categories.

45 high school students, when selected, will be paired with the incredibly talented Adroit staff and editors in order to learn more about drafting, redrafting, and editing, etc.

This is a great opportunity for young writers to stretch their wings and work with a panel of award-winning, published writers who are eager and willing to expand the knowledge and enthusiasm of aspiring authors.
