elizabeth stared at the object confused. her brows drawing together and question marks popping from her head. ❛ are you ABSOLUTELY sure that, that is what its supposed to look like? ❜ the brunette asked in her thick BRITISH accent.

Since she’d been rescued, Mary had been left, infuriatingly, immobile. She could barely sit up before the matron came running to help her, clucking about tearing the stitches.
This left Mary with almost nothing for stimulation. She managed to sneak out some days before the sun had risen, and they were letting her walk around occasionally, at least. But she wasn’t supposed to do anything strenuous, a term that seemed to encompass everything at Maillard. She’d started talking with anyone who came into the infirmary, a much rarer sight over the break between terms. Thank God more people were starting to arrive.
“What are you in for?” She asked, as someone new finally entered. She made sure the matron wasn’t watching before carefully propping herself up on one elbow, wincing.
when the brunette had read all her books and FINISHED all her equations, her mind would be wandering off, repeating the word ‘bored’ over and over in her head. she tried best to keep her mind occupied with SOMETHING anything really. sometimes she helped in the kitchen, and some other times she’d help in the infirmary. the first time she was helping out, there had been a cadet who had a deep gash on their arm and she hypothesised that it would take two weeks to heal with proper bandages and medicine. she tended to that cadet every week, once a week she’d come to see the progress of what now had become her STUDY and her question was as of always; how long does it take for the human body heal? ellie entered the infirmary, small notepad and pen in her hands, looking at the people who will have to call the infirmary their home for a while. she was taking notes down at the wound of one when she heard a voice. ❛ oh- just UM, a study i guess. ❜ she answered, a smile on her lips before walking over to the other, ❛ are you sure you should be sitting up?. ❜

it was early morning and bridgette of course was awake at the crack of dawn to begin her training. having arrived at the institute a few days early due to her father needing to finish some administrative things she was quite excited to be back. quietly she made her way to the training room and retrieved her favorite bo staff and began to spin it around. she kept her eyes forward and focused on a target as she passed the bo from hand to hand, not looking at it for a second. gradually she increased her speed and hit a near by punching bag with a sharp BANG. the redhead repeated her movements, each time starting faster and faster. vaguely she could hear voices in the main hall and figured students and staff were arriving but thought nothing of it. then, she heard a set of footsteps but decided to continue her work and not bother with them.
being a BRAVO cadet meant two things for her: her brain was her weapon and so was her words. she was not physically strong. she never has been. as a kid she was timid and quiet. all the other children in the neighbourhood would play hide and seek or tag. but ellie would always get too tired to continue playing. however during this unfortunate time of her childhood, she learnt how EASILY she could sway people with her words ( if she tried ) she was NEVER the one who fought with her arms, much more her mind and words. her eloquent tongue was what got her head girl in high school and probably, most likely, got her into the academy. the brunette knew though that she NEEDED much more physical training. this was her plan for the day, few games of chess, sudoku, checkers, cross word puzzles and a few quadratic expressions. in fact as soon as she woke up, she decided to do some mathematical equations and it wasn’t in her twelfth quadratic equation that she knew she had to do some form of morning exercise. she headed to the training grounds, hoodie over her head and hands in her pockets., her usual brown shoulder bag on one shoulder. as she got closer to her intended destination, she saw someone performing exceptionally well. she made sure to take light steps not wanting to distract the other who was first there. ❛ morning, ❜ she mumbled gently, a small smile on her lips as the brunette stationed herself in front of a training bag.

Minerva’s knuckles were crimson red, though the brunette didn’t allow her pain to overwhelm her in any way. While she punched, that’s all she could let herself think about — not Robin, not her father, not anyone else that actually justified the anger that she was feeling as she hit the punching bag. However, when the brunette stopped for a second, then the burning and the pain hit her and she scrunched her nose, letting herself stop for the day — or at least for a few hours. Then, she heard a sound behind her and the agent turned around, meeting whoever decided to join her in the training grounds. “You don’t happen to have bandages on you, do you?”
elizabeth spent ALL DAY in her room and most people around the academy would almost definitely know what she had been up to. reading. the brunette spent hours, stationary, surrounded by four walls and various books that her hands welcomed. she had never been the athletic cadet. sure she can run a five miles in ten minutes and know a few martial arts moves but she never really liked the physical activities. she was more the sit-down-and-think-about-building-things type of person or any activities that required more thinking. however she had been CONSUMING too much cocoa ( she liked having something to drink while reading ) and not burning the sugar off. she finished the fifth book and sighed as it left her hands. as a cadet she needed to be top of her game, both physically and mentally. she got changed into training clothes and headed slowly to the training grounds. she was so enthusiastic. she carried around her brown shoulder bag which consisted of almost everything: water, fruits, a book ( if she got bored ), bandages and a face towel. though she knew in her heart she would give up before a single bead of sweat formed on her forehead. she placed the bag down on the floor and her head snapped to the direction of the voice. ❛ hmm? oh yes, as a matter of fact i do. ❜ she stated, picking up her bag and digging through it, finally getting to the bandages. they weren’t even opened. ❛ there you are. ❜ she chucked the perfect and new roll of bandages. ❛ you might as well keep them too if you like, i doubt i will EVER enter a circumstance in which i would need them for myself. ❜
