IRELAND, May 1938. It’s the start of another school year. A lot of people are running around the campus, suitcases swinging about, meeting with old friends. It isn’t hard to distinguish the newbies from the unprecedented awe in their faces and the fact that they’re simply keeping to themselves. If you would head to the front entrance, there are personnel who are more than willing to assist you with your bags. Proceed to the front desk to check yourself in. Welcome refreshments are available at the main lobby.

Contrary to what his platoon implied, Marshall was not the type to slack on his work--in fact, he might have made a good Alpha if not for his attitude. It was his amazing ability to get into trouble that ultimately landed him in Charlie.  He was seated in the cafeteria, oblivious to the idle chatter as he inspected the sheet in front of him--presumably some type of assignment. The question was simple--what would you do if you were discovered by a civilian? While he’d been mulling over what the correct answer might be, he already knew what he would do, “I’d kill ‘em. Loose ends make my ass itch.”

“So, you think that languages aren’t good enough do you?” Esther spoke, her eyebrow arching and her lips pursed into an unamused frown. “Languages keep you in tune with the enemy, you understand them and you understand their moves and their motives.” Her voice became ice cold and her eyes narrowed even further.

The Institute during the day was deceptive in its charms, but at night, it fueled Isaac’s nightmares. He and a companion were assigned to do the rounds, and as they traversed the eerily dim halls with only a flashlight to guide their way, he made no effort to spark a conversation with them. Every now and then, his eyes would catch the mutilated bodies of his comrades in war -- a symptom of his PTSD. He was getting used to it, however, and if he was bothered by it, the marble-smooth expression on his face gave no indication of that.
