There will be 5 slots per batch. When I've reached the batch limit, I'll close commissions momentarily until I'm done with them.

Payments are done through Paypal in USD. For Malaysians, I also accept bank transfers in Ringgit.

Document sizes: Character headshots = 2480px @ 300dpi Realistic pieces = A4 @ 300dpi (customised crop sizes possible)

Process

Send me an email at yan.yee @ outlook dot com with all the necessary information. I'll be in touch via email within 1-2 days.

I'll send 1-3 sketches, depending on the commission type. These sketches can be revised at this stage.

Once the sketch is finalised, I'll send over a Paypal invoice. For bigger commission pieces, you can opt for a 50% payment first, and the other 50% before I send over the final pieces.

You'll receive work-in-progress images during the sketch stage, the render stage, and the final details stage. For larger commissions that'll take longer time, you'll get weekly WIP updates.

For deliverables, you'll get the artwork in its original, high-resolution size as well as a web-friendly version.

(Long) Artist's notes under cut!

The previous comic was posted back in 2019 lmaoooo I first scripted this comic all the way back in 2017. But after literal years of procrastination stemming from impostor syndrome and perfectionism paralysis, I'm so proud to finally complete it! A few thoughts down below:

Manon Hawke deserves a break - When I first played DA2, I poured a lot of my own personal rage, grief and hurt into her (just look at her tag on my tumblr), and the game happened to facilitate that journey even further. She actually helped me so much in my own recovery with self-harm. But now 10 years on, I think my girl deserves happiness and peace. If I get to drawing her again, I would like it to be happier, or at least not about her dependence on blood magic.

The emancipation of Carver Hawke - I love that Carver thrives so much as a Grey Warden even with his shortened mortality. As annoying af as he was in-game, I actually see a lot of myself in him: feelings of constantly being under the shadow of a much more capable older sibling, learning to be my own person once I stopped trying to be like them, etc. Just general middle child things. But I wholly believe that Carver is the only person capable of snapping Manon out of her blood magic alcohol haze - grieving together, forgiving each other, before going on their separate ways again.

(Mis-)Usage of joss sticks/burial rites - The usage of joss sticks stuck into random bottles was very deliberate on my part. With my headcanon of the Amells being the Chinese equivalent of Thedas and the actual canon of Leandra eloping with Malcom, I wanted to show how Carver and Manon never really had the opportunity to learn about certain cultural things that their mother followed, including mourning rituals and paying last respects. The joss sticks are a relatively small thing within the overall comic, but I find that the lack of knowledge adds additional layers of grief since it's yet another connection that the remaining Hawke siblings have lost for good.

Art inconsistencies - All my fault. Some were deliberate for better framing, others were because I didn't want to draw chairs.

Someone give me a medal for redoing Armand's pose because I found a better ref. Also I was too lazy to research the couch they're sitting on, so I used my own couch as reference.
